Mate this is THE best review I have ever seen!! Love your co star. I didn't know that Classic Who was that well liked in America - You say your favourite is Jon Pertwee, mine is Peter Davison. Did you lot ever get 'Worzel Gummidge' over there? That is another massive series Jon Pertwee did after he left Doctor Who.

'The Sea Devils' is a great sequel (of sorts) to 'Doctor Who and the Silurians' . Pertwee, Manning and Delgado put in great performances, and it's nice to have a story on Earth that DOESN'T feature U.N.I.T. The Sea Devils themselves are very well realised and have great voices. The incidental music is best desrcibed as erratic in this one but nevertheless works well within the story. 'Hulke' and 'Dicks' always tend to churn out great stories together don't they.

'The Sea Devils' gets an 8/10.

The fall at the end is the funniest part to me because what happened is my cat attacked the parrot from behind and ripped it off my shoulder!  hahhahahaaaa! I nearly wet myself because I had something else planned and that ended up being WAY funnier!

No, you are absolutely right! Haaaahahaa! It looks like a coolie hat from the 1800's! I usually wear it under my pirate hat but the pirate hat is too new looking. I'm going to have to weather it a bit for future use. But I laughed for 5 minutes at least! Hop Sing!  hahahaaa!

Fantastic review as ever Lopez - I love The Sea Devils, Delgado's performance, The Master watching The Clangers (a British TV show for kids), The sword fight, the Sea Devils, i could go on. Pertwee at the height of his powers - wonderful stuff.

Loved the pirate outfit btw, are you auditioning for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie? Have a wonderful Christmas my friend:)

It is a great story with so much in it. I failed to mention the sword fight! As soon as I read your post I went back to my notes and sure enough I marked that as relevant and just forgot! That was pretty boss!

Thanks, here is a story I hope all the comments get read. At the end I had something else planned out but when the bird started going off, flapping it's wings bobbing up and down one of my cats, a black one, had attacked the parrot from behind! My cat pulled it off of me! I thought for a split second and decided not to break character and it was hard to keep from losing it! Every time I watch it I laugh because I didn't laugh then!

LMAO funny review man, one of your best, just as this story was one of the best. One of the most iconic scenes is in this where they come out of the sea, great cliffhanger. Oh and the bit with the sonic screwdriver detonating mines. Brilliant stuff. Merry Xmas in time!

I gotta be 100% honest and say that while I like this serial, I HATED the music in this. Especially the sound they made whenever anyone mentioned The Master it blew out my speakers and eardrums when I first saw it!

Since we're sharing, ha! I've learned to tune that out. The constant drone in the background, a sting for every physical move, etc., but there are times when it's really atmospheric. I guess this wasn't one of those times? Ha!
