  • I found mine today......

  • Good. :)

  • I do hope you took your billfold, your gum and your library card out of your pocket before you hopped in the swamp.

    Olivia's Mom

  • You'll be proud to know that I did, Mom. Taking the stench of the swamp out of my clothing was a whole other matter though... :D

  • Nice toes. =)

When I was living my teen years my thinking spot was a hollow in the woods next to a cranberry bog. I didn't always think though. Sometimes I just went to a little feeder pond to catch frogs or snakes.

I like woods... I like being hidden from view or at least to think I am when I want to get away to think.

Nice video and thanks for making me remember some good times. =)

  • Oh my goodness! Did you get eaten by piranas!?

  • They only live up near the Amazon...no worries. :)

  • This is actually a very calming video. It's a beautiful place. I can't believe you just jumped in the river like that, though! :)

I miss having a calm place. I definitely had one as a child, it was the woods in our backyard. Thank you for reminding me.

  • You're welcome...the woods sound really nice. We had a few sparse trees in our backyard as a kid that I remember climbing. :)

  • I live in tromsoe so the water is cold, the air is cold and there is snow everywhere...

I live in a city so i cant find a place like that on a summer... And its just noisy all the time! but there you are...

so im ansking if you had to go far for that place.

it looks so... ...relaxing to just sitt and think.

im realy jelaus at you for having a place like that...

  • sorry about the english... :D

  • Not a problem, I understood. I did have to walk about 10 minutes, but I live close to the outskirts of town, so it was close. You would really like it! :)

  • i have found my spot! thanks for the inspiration.

  • What a beautiful place. It's amazing. I live in the city so it's hard for me to find places as quiet and calming as this. It's nice to see you enjoying it here though. (:

  • Darn I thought you'd be eaten by crocodiles! :( Dissapointed!!!

  • Haha, :D

  • Instant Favorite.

    Very nice, Daniel.

  • Don't you have to watch for weird parasites in Brazil, diving into a lake like that?

  • Way up north in the jungle area you would, but the pests are tame in São Paulo state....ticks are a problem though. Thanks for the concern. :^)

  • This is great video, very professional work. I like it very much. I'ts surprising simple and artistic shots. Very nice even it's crazy...

  • Oh Daniel. If I dived in our pond, I would go "THUNK" and crack my skull upon.

My quiet place is, erm, usually up in the top of a tree... PERFECT place to watch a runsise. Sunrise, I meant.

Actually, my best quiet place is deep, DEEEEEP in a mug of chai latte.

NO! Wait, I mean, my quiet place is actually in a book somwhere. Preferably with pictures and conversations. "For what use is a book if it has no pictures or conversations in it?"

Great video, and super editing. *thumbs up*

  • Oh yes! I have a place to think. It's called my HEAD. HAHAHAHA!!

  • Ooh, nice! Jazz and I just had one question - how did you video taped it all? ;-)

  • hey probably had a tripod or he had his bro tape some of it.

  • Terry the Tripod did it all. I was out there alone, so if I wanted a second angle on a shot, I had to move the tripod and do a second take. Thanks for the question! :^)

  • Fascinating. *pats Terry the Tripod* Does that mean you dove into the water multiple times? ;-)

  • I dove in twice! Good catch! (It was a good excuse to get in that cool water.) Left my clothes stinky though. Gah. (Sorry amans, I accidently deleted your grammar correction comment.) Guys, when she said "video taped", she meant "video tape". :^D

  • Replied below, or above. Bummer the order. :)

  • That reminds me of Waldon's Pond...that book about the guy that lives in solitude near a lake.

I got a place of solitude too. It's a canvas!

  • :^) I know what you mean...I have a notebook for poems etc. It's a therapy, ain't it?

  • i got a few quiet places i mite show u guys it. thnx for sharing daniel take care

  • I'd like to see it Jeff!

  • ok i think im goin to go to one of my quiet places this weekend maybe i can brin my camcorder...duh how else would i tape it lol justjokin but ya i mite do that

  • Nice place!

Do you usually tend to swim in full clothing, though? Isn't it a bit clammy and wet waiting to dry out?

  • Nope! :^) That was a spur-of-the-moment dive.

And you're right about the clammy feeling. For the record, don't wear your best jeans when do it. :^)

  • that was a brilliant lil vid!! i love the on scene dive lol but at the same time had a meaning to it! well done dude

  • Thank you Matt!

  • I was totally not expecting that! Too funny. Though I must say that looked like a very nice, peaceful place.

  • What? Isn't it normal for 20 year olds to dive fully dressed into dirty lakes?? :^) Thanks pookie!

  • Well, it is normal here... but I didn't think it was normal everywhere!

  • Haha well said!! :^D
