AND also because you dont really understand the best way to play a one on one basketball. bottom line, at both of their prime, garnett will eat MJ alive in one on one. any forward who has the perimeter defense game and a solid in the paint game will eat any PG/SG in a one on one game.

@hagekg well, being able to beat vince carter one on one isn't exactly something to call home about. Vince Carter is one of the most physically gifted and mentally weak players in the NBA. The guy and his cousin are saps. Also, you're talking about this like it's rock/paper/scissors. Really? I don't really understand the best way to play one on one basketball? You make the assumption that Garnett can defend Jordan's fadeaway. Can Jordan defend Garnett? Absolutely.

the difference between vince carter and michael jordan is that vince carter is a pushover and michael jordan was the most gifted player of all time. I don't see how you think that a power forward can guard him one on one when they can barely guard him with four people to help. Like...how is that not computing for you?

@uberathlete yes i agree with you, mj is definitely one of the fastest guards in his prime. if im KG, I would give two steps distance from myself and MJ outside. When he pop up for a jumper, i would use my HEIGHT ADVANTAGE and LONG REACH to try to hassle his shot. im sure no matter how good a shooter he is, he would definitely miss a jumper or two. then on offense, i would try to use my POWER, push him all the way to the post where my favorite position is and again HEIGHT ADVANTAGE to score...

@hagekg i think your missing one key factor and that's michael's strength and athleticism. kg is tall, but jordan will just jump high to get his shot off, like he did with a late game shot over vlade divac vs the lakers in the finals, jordan played in a time where there was alottt of big men in the league, and his game was more of an inside game and they couldn't stop him, KG is great, and i love em cuz im a boston fan, but he would fall against jordan like everyone else has

@hagekg no im talkin about 6 foot 6 jordan who shot 50 percent from the field his career and averaged 30 ppg his career and is the guard with the most blocks in the history of the NBA and dunked on almost every big man in his era, even jordan in his wizard years teams had to try a player from every position and couldnt stop him, garnett isnt any different, jordan would do to him what he did to everyone else, im not some punk that only knows jordans highlights, i actually study his game
