Interestingly, I am reminded from time to time how many riffs Tony churned out outside the Dio or Ozzy era's. Songs like this and Sabbath Stones etc have dated less well than a lot of Dio or Ozzy songs, though so has most of 80's music. Sabbath is still sabbath whoever plays in it - Purple and 5000 other bands are all the same - 'motorway bands' - to not accept that is to miss a lot of great music. This is, however, one of Tony's best solo's.
and last but not least we do have freedom of speech so anybody can say whatever the hell he wants anywhere at any time as long as of course what he says doesnt infringes the rights of someone else. in your case, i hope you know how somebody who rejects without a second thought anything but what he wants to hear is called.not to mention that you dont own the video or anything else in here.
cos just like ozzy shouldnt have acted selfishly when he rejected the induction of the band to the rock n roll hall of fame or when he unexpectedly ended the reunion negotiations back in the 90s the same way tony should have changed the name when there was nobody there than himself.
Alright, you Ozzy fanboys, get out of my video, If you can't say anything nice about Sabbath in general, then shut up and get out. before I KICK you out.
no you guys have got it all wrong, the question is not who was a better singer but whether iommi had the right to maintain the name sabbath after half of the bandmates had left the band.
now its been a long time since my last comment but i want to get some things straight. first off i didnt say iommi didnt have the legal right to do it or anything like that. the problem was he only kept the name to meet commercial and selling ends thus somewhat cheated the fans who had stayed loyal to the original line-up of sabbath. and plz dont ever mention again that he owned the band just because he was the founding member. he couldnt do anything he pleased and thats the end of the story.
i'm not suggesting ozzy "made" them good. i do think he was superior to all their subsequent singers but it just so happened that his leaving roughly coincided with their music going downhill.

I love Sabbath with every damn singer that was in this band. There's no need to compare them just enjoy their music.

Stop with this, yes every other member sold their rights to the name, end of story, it's Iommi's band.
Comment removed. Don't do it again.

without ozzy they just sound like a typical, middle of the road, wanky, 80s cock rock band.
it's a genuine shame.

actually no, i take this back. i just checked out some of the dio period and the music was pretty cool - it's dio that makes me not like it.
