Before I go on with the rest of my comment, I would like to say, this guy deserves all the respect i can give him. Which is a lot.

But honestly, it's not as difficult as memorizing the steps and THEN putting dance moves to it.

I'm nowhere near as good as this guy, but when you play a song enough, you do start throwing things into it and eventually it becomes a freestyle. And you start to remember the whole sequence as a dance instead of a game. Everything is so much easier to remember that way.

@bryanmichaeldavis Technically, no. A good freestyler could combine other elements of dance while playing. Instead of just using his arms, he could have had a more exciting footwork pattern or something that made it truly unique. By showing flashy hand gestures (which are mediocre), you can tell he's mainly focused on that instead of his feet. I personally think that if he paid more attention to his footwork, it'd be better. Just my personal opinion though.
