  • Disorder greatest song ever made

  • He saved the Rickenbacker!!!

  • now that is unbelievable

  • i am n love with this movie...in love with ian curtis..

  • @boleynanne it's a good film as is 24 hour party people.

  • OK...

  • This actor looks JUST like Ian. Whoever cast this movie did a good job! Did Curtis actually get this way on (then off) stage?

  • wow. the look on his face... you can literally feel the sadness by just the look on his eyes. so sad... T__T

  • And these chavs called themselves "anarchist punks?" They got their asses kicked by Peter Hook and a couple of Roadies!

  • @Suckishman Funny thing being most of the crowds in the film were made up of JD fans that would have actually seen them live back in the day xD

  • The actors look near identical to the band members.

  • the film is very very great

  • Oi! Oi! skinhead get ya hair cut ahahah!!!

  • I was watching with the snowflakes on, I laughed out loud!

  • first some beer, followed by a xanax, next a zetix, then a good nitesleep, and next in the morning ipran plus some vitamin....do again and again , put some coke in it, u will LIVE

  • What's wrong with him?

  • Comment removed

  • @auttisticcoww Depression, anxiety.

  • @auttisticcoww What SuperAnnoyingtroll said, plus his epilepsy and failing relationship. Also during the film he says that he doesn't feel the audience understands him and how much he gives.

  • that boot to the face at 2:45 is brutal

  • He's so adorable.

  • sam if you want me ill top your manager

  • amazing movie. excellent performance from riley. and from mr. corbin, the depeche mode guy!

  • too*

  • Don't you hate fucking assholes who just have to fight? It's a fucking music show, they are obviously having problems just chill assholes. Movie looks good but way to depressing.

  • I wish he would finish this song because it sounds so awsome when he sings it, not that it doesn't sound awsome when Ian Curtis sang it

  • I love this scene, emotional, expecically when Real life Ians Daughter was in the crowd front row.

  • This clip is fucking awesome

    Joy division 4ever <3

  • The guy who played Ian and the girl who played Annik actually got married in real life...how uh...fitting I suppose.

I think the person who was hurt the most in the film besides Ian (of course) was his wife Debbie...I can totally relate to her. She loved him despite everything, gave him plenty of chances, and was hurt too many times. She even had a kid with him which was what was surprising. I do love JD but the movie totally changed what I thought of him (tho that doesn't mean I don't miss him)

  • @fufufuyen I wouldn't let this film guide you, it's a very one sided story. Read 'Torn Apart - the life of Ian Curtis' by Mick Middles and Lindsey Reade, great book and a much more balanced and complete version of events.

  • @essexmonkey Yeah, I understand. I didn't really like the movie either as it felt incomplete yo me as well...

I was planning to buy the Debbie Curtis book on Ian but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'll add that to my list.

  • @fufufuyen

ive read it, its good it picks up towards the end.in the book debbie has a dream the night before ian died and she could hear "the end" by the doors, in her sleep just moments before finding ian.

  • the film was great

  • @UnbreakableDisasters i agree it really was like they really were.

  • I kinda like the way the substitute singer sounds :-)

  • 9 people have a disorder...

  • @emmetLshavinski and whats wrong with that?

  • @emmetLshavinski omg your ruined it.

  • the bouncer looks like Hooky in modern day... Cameo???

  • The guy they replaced with Ian sounds... pretty good.

  • this is one of the saddnest scene in a cinematography

  • @puszkinowski

and one of the best :( I love Joy Division.

  • @puszkinowski I would say 2nd saddest. The ending is the worse thing to watch knowing that it happened...

  • epic!

  • The song is singed by ian all the time?

  • there is so much emotion in this scene. it's brilliant

  • @woah909 yeah, true

  • Sam Riley IS the reincranation of IC. They should reform with this guy as lead singer. Freaky!!

  • Where's my 20 quid?

    IN MY FUCK OFF POCKET!!!

  • this was very sadenning

  • una vergaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • 1:40 in my FUCK-OFF pocket!

    my fav track too x)

would kill to see them live now

  • wow, peter hook is badass

  • 0:24

That fucking drum fill is fast O_O

  • @Geten123 It's a live version they're trying to create the live atmosphere.

  • @rockguru123

Yeah, I do a know for a fact that Joy Divsion played much faster and more agressive live. I was just pointing out that the fill is rediculously fast.

  • @Geten123 Oh right sorry mate (:

  • First you beat him up, then you save your Rickenbacker <3

  • @HumanJarv

Dont you mean your Rickenbacker clone?

  • Comment removed

  • @unfamous13 I suppose the fact that he isn't playing the notes to the music at all time warrants attention too, does it? ;)

  • @HumanJarv

ha, ofcourse, I was referencing to the fact that Hook had a Rick clone, and in this video it looks like its a real one. Not sure if I would care for the clone as much!

  • @unfamous13 Oh, what you mean he really had a clone? If so, I never knew!

  • lol

  • Great scene although I didn't quite understand - was he having a seizure or was he just fed up with the performances.

  • @dontlayeggs well he had an epileptic condition which was worsening and he couldn't control himself he couldn't do very much

  • @thefingerboarder12

Those bricks didn't get it, did they

  • Wheres my 20 quid?

  • @niall2223 :-D HaHaHaHaHa

  • fuck I need this hole song

  • @lonkylaine They're chanting "off, off, off"

  • Disorder... Indeed.

  • I'd like to know what the crowd is screaming at the beginning. At the end it sounds like "Ian" but not at the beginning.

  • 6 people are digging in their fuck-off pockets.

  • The guy playing the guy from crispy ambulace sound more like Ian than the actor playing Ian.

  • @egdeltur666 aha! that was me! ;-)

  • Well done sam riley did an impressive job, so did toby kebbel as rob gretton... great fillm, hooky's headbutt :') quality.

  • Alan is funny.

I don't know this actor's name but I want to see him in more films.

  • Youtube/WISPRWORLD

  • funny to think they start booing at ians real voice haha

  • Natalie Curtis in the front row.

  • @DisforDonnie Second from the right??

  • @DisforDonnie Where? can you tell me exactly where?

  • @Kento617 i believe she is in the front row second visible face from the right. you can tell by her hairline because it goes farther up on one side. hope this helped.

  • @condiersea I think it did. I think I see her except she's to the left. thank you! =)

  • @condiersea I think it did. I think i see her to the left of the girl in the middle at 0:30. thank you! =)

  • @DisforDonnie i hope she made it out okay.

  • @DisforDonnie

    its not her

  • @DisforDonnie Really?? I didnt know that?

  • Respond to this video... People say Sam Riely was good in this. I cant see it. I dont think he was that good as Ian. Sean Harris was much better in 24 hour party people.

  • @MOONST0MP Debatable, however Control was brilliant.

  • @aldotaka Was it? What was brilliant about it? I mean I'm not being I dick here. I liked the film because it had the music in it. I love Joy Division. But it is the story of Ian Curtis' life. Ian Curtis didnt have a very exiting life did he. I mean, he didnt really live life to the full did he? so nothin happens in the film because nothin happend in his life. He wrote some brilliant music and was in a brilliant band but his personal life was a hell of a lot duller than my own.

  • @MOONST0MP Music is brilliant. There was lots of music, and music is brilliant. I believe that might be what the guy was referring to.

  • @eveliniscool, Now let me show you how incredibly annoying it is to do what you do:

You said here,"I believe that might be what the guy was referring to."

Correction: "I believe that might be what the guy was referring."

Now, you were saying something about bad grammar to me? My, how the mighty have fallen. You can retire your red ink pen in correcting everyone else.

  • @ZebrasFirst It's awfully mature of you to track down a comment in which I made a grammatical error!

In all seriousness, though, were you not being rude, I would thank you for correcting me--that particular rule in the language is one I haven't come across. In the future, please keep your grudges away from other videos which have nothing to do with our argument.

  • @eveliniscool, LOL!! You criticized my grammar so I paid your Channel a visit. I clicked on a video in which you commented, and quickly discovered you were not the expert Grammar Teacher who presnted yourself to be.

If you don't like being made fun of concerning your words, don't do it to others!! That's the lesson I wanted to teach you.

Example: If someone writes you, "Your dum." You don't correct them with, "It's spelled, 'You're dumb', blah, blah. As long as they get their point across.

  • @eveliniscool, And yes, I misposted the word,"presented". Slip of the buttons. Again, you know what I meant and I got my point across.

  • @MOONST0MP wow! I can't be mad at you for saying that. He didn't live his life to his fullest which is why it's pretty sad. His band, incredible. His life, self-destructible. It's almost like each time he got on stage he kept getting weaker and weaker until "He Lost Control" of it all. I think we can say that we all have felt this way at least once in our lives. It's another reason why I still strangely admire him. He could have done more though, just another lost of great talent...

  • bass and drums sound sick in this performance

  • Poor Ian :/ Makes me so sad.

  • This movie any good? Because it looks like it'd be an entertaining watch, to say the least.

  • @otakuploader Just imagine the movie Ian would've deserved. Corbijn give him that honor!

  • @otakuploader Oh yes, it's good.

  • I love the bit where Hooky starts beating the skin head who's jump on the stage :L

  • I really, really love this film, the guy who play´s Ian is brilliant i think <3

  • is this a real footage from the band? or is acted?

  • @ElFlakoRompanTodo it's taken from a film about the band, called 'Control'

  • this film is so Great and the music is brilliant!

  • chris angel much?

  • "in my fuckoff pocket"

gonna add that to my things to say to someone one day list.

  • @peopleintrees lmao ! you do that aswell lol

  • 5 people got told to fuck off while asking for their quids

  • I cant stop repeating 1.24 until he walks off stage, this actually burns me till he walks off stage and im not being emo at all this is an extreme genuine human emotion somthing far more, brilliant film as well

  • @eatingplans I know what you mean! I too have been blown away by this movie... and believe me that has not happened in a long time. Sam Riley is an amazing actor and his portrayal of Ian Curtis in this movie is absolutely breath-taking...From solid frontman to deer caught in the headlights even his physical appearance seems to change in front of our eyes!

  • Assuming this really happend, who was the replacement singer?

  • @gombie this really did happen, and the replacement singer was from a punk band called crispy ambulance, i cant remember his name though..

  • Hooky 'avin it at 2.34 brilliant!

  • In my eyes the best scene in the film, the most intense.

Espescially if one consider the song.

Disorder is just a brilliant superb song!

    Love the whole scene!

  • Best part is where the guy gets booted in the face by the mohican guy <3

My dad was at the real thing derby hall riot met Ian Curtis after in the bar area and got his autograph and everything so wish I could have seen them

  • there was this badass dude ibn this movie doing sort of like a rap right before joy division debuted.....he was saying "fucking this and fucking that fucking this and fucking that.....DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THAT WAS?? thank you 8)

  • @joshua1222 john cooper clarke mate =]

  • Comment removed

  • @joshua1222 His name is John Cooper Clarke.

  • Amazing movie. And amazing Joy Division.

  • YOU FUCKA

  • @jenwasverydrunk, just go on : dpstream , and u'll see "control"...enjoy it and see how Sam Riley is amazing as Ian...Incredible performance...let us know...

  • yes hooky :D legend

  • did peter hook really fight back that time?

  • @BBnose haha yeah he did :)

  • cant wait to watch this film. Really cant wait

  • this is a fucking movie

  • This movie is so good.

  • The guy that sings for the first bit, is that Johnny Greenwood?

  • alan hempsell from crispy ambulance

  • who's the fill in singer i can't fucking understand what the manager said

  • i love how the rest of the band keeps playing even after the crowd starts bottling the replacement singer.

  • Go Hooky you good thing

  • Peter Hook, not just good on a bass.

  • The original emo kids!

    lol at 2:17!

  • Fuck this movie, look at that, they made him look like he was a weak little pussy, which he was pretty fucking far from

  • @StChiara

having moments of weakness doesn't mean that you are a pussy

  • @XMxOxRxSX ...this is more than presenting a moment of weakness..this is Anton Corbijn trying to spread his bullshit myth that even the remaining members of Joy Division said was bullshit...ever wonder why he pushed their contribution out in the making of the film? Because he wanted it to look like this, he's full of shit, and so is this stupid film.

  • @StChiara

you are sayin that this is a forcation made by the director?that these are all corbijn fantasies?

anyway is this episode ever happened

  • @XMxOxRxSX ...I'm saying-do you know what Anton Corbijn does? Because he certainly does not direct movies, he does fucking music videos, do you know how you communicate in music videos? They use exaggerated expressions...So yeah these incidents happened, but not to the OVERLY EXAGGERATED extent that Anton Corbijn herein potrayed them-with Ian looking like he wants to break down and cry every other minute. You and everyone else who like this little lie of a film need to read up on Joy Division.

  • @StChiara

i know anton corbijn directed music video

i had never been visioning this movie

so i don't know if i like it

but the day i will watch it ,i will certantly remember of your opinion

actualy i have allways taught that ian was such of a closed hateful depressed guy, insteand of crying he will just boil in it's own rage

not giving signs of weakness to the others wich he did'nt trust at all.

i don't think you are wrong at all.

  • @StChiara

Yea I noticed Ians portrayed as a whiny bitch. Somehow I doubt he was like that.

  • @StChiara Peter Hook himself said that the film stretched the truth, but that's okay because the truth is boring.

  • was this supposed to be the darby hall gig?

  • who the fuck clicked dislike the bellends

  • why are there so much skinheads and renees?

  • this could be a very good cover of disorder if they would bring this out!
