Pisses me the hell off that Pudz gets all the credit when Zavickas clearly is the better strongman. Pudz couldn't cut it at Arnold's which he then quit and went on to avoid Fortissimus. Zavickas, on the other hand, dominated Arnold's, took one of the Fortissimus events, has some ISFA titles to his name, and a bunch of WSM 2nd's plus one 1st over Pudz.

Yet everyone thinks of Pudz because he's dominated the race-based WSM event, which has the coolest name and ESPN coverage.

Jon Paul Sigmarson was the best of all time, Kaz a close second, then Ver Magnusson, then Capes, then maybe Samuelson. All good strength athletes, entertaining to watch, and good ambassadores of strength sports. But Marius is just lucky that the events have changed from pure strength to more reps and speed oriented. He's a good champion no doubt, but he is not a very good ambasadore for the strength community ( he is an ex-con yardbird isnt he) not much class there.. Just my opinion.

You are right. It was a definite oversight on my part. He was always quiet, courtious, proffessional and... when he competed, he always looked like he didnt even have to work that hard to win. It was rather amazing. So yes, he should surely be on any list of the greatest WSM.
