  • The first Computer was the Zuse-Rechner in Berlin. It stands even today in thr Technical University of Berlin.

  • But will it blend

  • Sooo... How much fps on Battlefield 3?

  • Lets play ARMA3 on it:)

  • Will it play wow?

  • So this wouldn't be a desk top. It would be a floor top.

  • Dat ass 00:20

  • will it blend?

  • Looks like my first HI-FI

  • It looks like a light bulb

  • still starter than Obama.

  • @hitachi088 And much starter than you.

  • This is quite cool

  • if I upgrade this mashine whit a beeter graphics card can I play mw3?

  • That computer is bait smaller then mine.. This must be the upgrade

  • @ackboy6

Gaming on a mac with 15GB of ram?!

  • @ackboy

Gaming on a mac and 15GB of ram?!

  • Can it run Crysis?

  • As if your office wasn't cluttered enough....

  • @Nucleus9000 you're right it was I was just getting mixed up there thanks

  • Can it run crysis with average frames?

  • @Koenstuurwold0 Around 70-80.

  • @AllofVideos thx

  • alot of people don't know this but the first computer was actually built 4,000 years ago by the Romans completely mechanical of course, they used it to do advanced math so they could make even building structures

  • @10Residentevilfan well if you actually read the title; World's First Computer "WITH AN ELECTRIC MEMORY"

most educated people do know that mechanical computers have existed since early civilisation.

  • @picklemonster1001 yeah I guess you're right I just didn't expect it to be that commone of knowlege cause most people I tell that to, don't believe, or they think I'm joking, or they just say really!? but yeah very true I wasn't paying close attention to the title thanks for the correction you have a great day :-D

  • the matrix originally ran on this computer

  • does it make popcorn

  • but can it run crysis?

  • @Roflbrowser v=ROPEICInVPY

  • The FAA should upgrade, Multi-million dollar planes and they use dinosaurs like this. Absolutely amazing.

  • I've got 56kb of porn on this bad-boy.

  • dammit thats the one i have??time to update to windows 1 i guess

  • as a bricklayer, quiet honestly that is the worst example of a wall I've ever seen. I mean look at the pointing,'' irregular'' would be kind, shocking more like,

gerrybuilt if ever I've seen it..........''**^""ffs

  • Watching this on my 15gb of ram gaming mac

  • @ackboy6 hehehehehe

  • your ipod and ps3 will look just as primitive 20 yrs from now

  • Whats the deal with the guys with invisible heads? :D

  • Vault Tec. computer

  • I go to University there :) Manchester UNI FTW!

  • 700 Hz Processor. Incredible!!

  • some minecraft on that thing lol

  • at least its not running vista

  • @insanepenguinjohn No. But the 'modern' computer at the back to load programs runs Windows 3.11 ;-)

  • oh my god 700 bytes a second lol even today shitty computers are at least 1000 times faster LOL

  • @GamesNshiet Even a ZX81 (a shitty computer 30 years ago) ran at 750,000 Hz, though maybe not 1000x as many *calculations* per second. But you could easily get a million times the performance with a junk PC picked up off the kerb. The creaky old laptop I'm typing from has a processor rated at about 3.5 billion calculations per second... (1.7ghz but with the benefit of MMX/SSE etc)

  • Is it Vista, XP or... ?

  • That's not quite the same as DRAM.

  • Oh for goodness sake! All these posts about Crysis has got to stop. OF COURSE it plays Crysis! I play it all the time on this computer. It renders and physically prints out each frame through the typewriter at one frame per year. :D

  • wheres the on button?

  • Can it run crysis?

  • @stefvde should do. perfectly. :)

  • @stefvde no it cant run shitty games

  • Woah! Can it play Doom!?

  • at 1:00 the big "ball" near his head - is that a plasma ball lamp working as a big Power LED?

  • It was the most powerful computer out when Counter strike 1.6 came... ;)

  • I would love to have a piece like that in my collection.

  • baby? or buddah? see movies "brazil" and "matrix" esp part #3.

  • i want to update my facebook status on this! :P lol

  • Remember this before you post. If you are NOT being mocked, you might just be a loser.

  • it runs on steam.

  • @forinner for mentioning steam i love you

  • you know if you people are going to mock the age of the computers shown here, you might as well make fun of the ancient people who are working on the ancient machine. you need steam to run this.

  • wheres the hdmi output?

  • Will it blend?

  • i'm surprised nobody asked this, will it blend?

  • How many points did you get in 3DMark?

  • so where's the washing machine?

  • its got less computing power than a calculator!

  • can you play crysis on that thing?

  • Ah geez, I was hoping it could replace this ancient piece of crap I have. My computer=0.00000001 fps

  • @Galodude That 0.00000001fps faster then mine you imperialist swine! (Just joking)

  • @thedarkone2134 Just by replying makes my fps go down by 10000%! FPS - 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Windows is now going to dead mode

  • OMG !!!!! ITS Dr. Kleiner Laboratory !!!!

  • Result: 42

  • That's all well and good, but can it play Minecraft?

  • @MADMANx511 it could barely run DOS

  • Best regards

  • @safepic "...a tribute to the man who started Artificial Intelligence"? No one invented artificial intelligence and back then (40s) no one had a name for an OS/MCP either. Turing was dead before any opperating system was called an opperating system. Computers back then were task-by-task programed. They were not very powerfull until CPM and UNIX-based machines showed up.

  • @Slyteradon -000000000.00000000000000000001

  • @Slyteradon hehehe 2 sec clip :PPPPP

  • @Slyteradon download all the porn you want, how long do i have to wait to watch it?

  • @Slyteradon 1 kilobyte of it

  • 700 calculations per second!!! Thats much more then my PC

  • Wow! i bet u can watch porn in bluray easely here.

  • salut for those who engineered this machine, without it there will be no i7 today

  • salut for those who engineered this machine, without it there will be no i7 today

  • i want to play GTA and watch porn

  • Wow so it is true the computer is big like a whole room in my school sideway dat is . and it took dat much work just to do a simple math problem ahhh human had deffinaly gone a long way

  • the guy who is talking is German ithink

  • That's an incredible machine. It should be in a museum!

  • @Regalseven You're right... I din't notice this was shot in a mexican restaurant...

  • @Regalseven It is. You can see 'Baby' at the NCC, Manchester, England. Which is where it was built.

  • play farcry 2 on this, it would run damn smooth!!!!

  • Wooden pc

  • and now is down to slim

  • I couldn't agree with you more. To all the commenter's, now what are YOU going to create? I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

  • Most posters take note, if not for these people and those machines, hmmmm, no iPod, P.C.? lioy!

  • Does it have Blu-Ray ?

  • @musikstefan Since the computer used optical memory, you could in theory have it read Blu-Ray disks directly. None of this drive nonsense reserved for inferior machines.

  • the first computer was built in 1894.... technology is used to enslave us, then only is it provided to us once its obsolete.

  • now play GTA 4 on this

  • now play GTA 4 on this

  • @MedicoreProductions

    Beat me to it.

  • what OS does it use? DOORS 98??? or windows 1-bit?

  • I dont understand how the computer can do these things, like how can you order some elechtronics to make me write this?

  • i want one.

  • Colossus the computer came before this computer

  • @thomasking55 yes thats right, but this computer is first with an electric memory.

  • @Starfighterking Actually, the memory was partly optical. It was not only electronic memory, it was dynamic memory. ("Core memory", a later invention IIRC, was not dynamic but static. This made the Mk 1's memory closer to that of a modern computer in some ways than the memory of later machines.) It was also 40-bit, although only 32-bits were significant. Minicomputers were not to reach that until the 1970s and the home computer only became 32-bit in the 90s.

  • @thomasking55 Correct but that was like a 1st gen mobile compared to a smart phone. Baby had the first dynamic RAM and storage ability not only for data but also for programs thus making it the earliest example of what we today call a computer.

  • its a calculator

  • turn it on.

  • wow that computer was huge

  • where is this computer at ?

  • what was that Computer for?

  • @damiandavid97

cracking code under the wars i gues...

  • for complex math

  • oh shit its HAL9000

  • crysis at max settings would make that thing blow up lol..if it can even run crysis...

  • noo it cant even come near to running it lol

  • think it'll just power off... xD and lay dark the whole city! :D

  • nice ram:D

  • hehehe ass heheh !!

  • Why is the guy at 0:20 showing his ass!?

  • Why do you think? He was picking something up.

  • Well, he sure wasn't picking up chicks!

  • hahahahahaha so funny..........

  • good question.

  • and why do you look at male arses paulwhoisvegan

  • @Paulwhoisvegan LMAO

  • @Paulwhoisvegan yeshe is such a fag

  • @Paulwhoisvegan i think he is a gay dats y :PPP

  • @Paulwhoisvegan now why did i look at that 85year old man's ass?

  • @Paulwhoisvegan He is trying out for a gangster music video. He is showing us his booty, SPREAD EM BABY BOY!! ermmmmmmm

  • I just read about this and no, 1000 hz = 1khz, and then 1000khz = 1mhz.. Similar to bytes, then kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, terabytes. God I feel like such a nerd, but I only know that from dealing flash memory and harddrives.

  • Thats probaly the worlds biggest computer

  • 5*..........

  • Interesting!!!

  • Isn't that in Manchester?

  • my friend said that the first computer in the world was big as a room.

  • it was!

  • learn about Jacek Karpiński and K-202

  • I could cram 800 of those into my smart phone. . .

  • I'm no expert but according to my calculator I think you can probably cram hundreds of thousands of those into your smartphone. And considering other factors not just the speed of the CPU, you can probably fit millions.

  • I don't know about millions, but definitely a lot more than 800 (just a figure I threw out without thinking), I think my phone runs at 300mhz and has a memory of 256meg (not counting 4gigs of micro sd). how fast you think that thing runs, maybe 2 or 3 khz?

  • That's the thing, that thing runs at 700hz, so less than 2khz. So I guess if your phone is 300Mhz then 3,000,000/700 = 428,571 of those into your smartphone. But then you have to also consider that a 1948 computer doesn't have the instruction sets of modern ones, I wouldn't be shocked if in terms of raw power your smartphone is tens of millions times more powerful.

For ex. a 2ghz core 2 duo is as powerful as a 4ghz Pentium D, so measuring it by just clock speed wouldn't be accurate.

  • True, we'd need to start measuring flops... its amazing that computers are pocket size and more powerful than anything built until the 80s

  • shiiit it would be a HELL OF A TIME trying to check my fuckin myspace/facebook lol

  • Looks complicated beyond belief.

  • And to think our puny desktops/laptops can do many times more calculations than that can in TEN seconds!

I love how fast technology advances.

  • wow with 9143459286fps

  • my gsm has more processor speed

  • wow , how many watts does this divece use , if it makes the lights dim in youre bilding it must use alot

  • computers at our school are still slower lol

  • All school comps sucks XD

  • WOW! A 700 hz computer, how futeristic!!

  • lol, 1000 hz = 1mhz , i heard that the atari uses a little less than 1mhz , i bet that you could play pong on it!

  • the laptop is lightly smaler and quicer and easeyer to use. imagen how long it must take to start up. my lap top takes ages !

    .

  • ow i can play gta san andreas in this super computer ?:P super big lol

  • It looks like mine

  • Most of building goes dim when they start it up.

  • @safepic the whole city will go dim when u start this thing ;)

  • can i check myspace wwt this??? LOL

  • my dad had a slower computer it did like 0.1 calc per second

  • it would take about 40 days for that thing to load windows vista lol

  • yeh but who the fuck wants windows vista it sucks dick

  • Directx10 perhaps?

  • uhh vista's actually pretty good now dude. That was 2007 when it was having problems..

  • yea but when ur gaming vista takes away a few frames

  • Yeah but without Windows Vista you can't use DirectX 10. And I never had any issues with a few frames being taken away. OHH NOO A FEW FRAMES! I don't know hopefully Windows 7 will be better.

  • yea, but when u have a crappy gaming rig and u cant afford a good system, those five frames really matter

  • Well you cant be mad at vista if your computers crap. It's pretty unfair to blame vista for your computers problems. If your gonna use vista then make sure you have an adaquite pc cabable of handeling the OS

  • Thats what I tell a lot of my clients who complain about vista after I upgrade their PC from XP. They get mad at me because none of their hardware works with Vista and somehow it's always my fault.

  • @coolwater1 theres no way it had enoghf memory for even to run an atari game at proper speed.
