Yes the XL Obsession is what I did about 15 tandems with that afternoon including one guy that was 250 lbs. The acro glider was the 11sm Morpheus from U-Turn. Fun stuff! That XL Obsession just rocks for tandem flight. Very slick.
The first tandem passenger was the man who started American Classifieds and the Thrifty Nickel. The second gentleman was a guy who had never flown in anything he was 82 years old and told me he was amazed watching us fly around. I asked Dell if would would take this gentleman up and just like every other time I asked Dell for something at Beach Blast he said no problem. Thanks again Dell for being such a valuable asset at Beach Blast 2009.
Naw they do that too. You just hit the brakes and stop. No biggie for an experienced pilot with the right equipment like in this video. The tandem spreader bars are very well designed so the passenger can fall down without taking the pilot with them. Tons of work went into getting that system just perfect. Only 3 of the 15 people that afternoon fell down. The way you come skimming along the ground before you slow down throws people off and it is a natural tendency to want to sit.
