If I was the Spurs' owner, I would have fired the clock operator. When Tim Duncan made what appeared to be the game winning jumper, that clock operator should have let the clock run to zero. Make the refs put time back on the clock. Maybe they'd only get 0.2 seconds. Then they could only do a tip in. That's what home court advantage is all about. That 1 play may have costed the Spurs a championship. Oh well. Glad I'm not a Spurs fan.
fakejohnsmith u r such a whiny lil bitch. first of all, after duncans shot they ran almost a whole second off the clock, and second of all why the hell r u bitching about a shot that was like 2 yrs ago, get a fucking life. GO LAKERS!!!
Um fakejohnsmith you dont know what your talking about. The rule is 0.4 is the least amount of time you can have to still shoot and make the shot. Dont be mad because Duncan and the Spurs suck. Fisher was the man for hitting that shot. Go Lakers
What has happened since then? Lakers lose to Pistons in the Finals despite having 4 big offensive options (Shaq, Kobe, Payton, Malone). Fisher goes to another team and hasn't been in the playoffs since, Lakers dismantle, SPURS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2005. This shot is ancient history and is only good for a highlight reel, but nothing significant.
Sorry, but everyone knows it is impossible to turn and shoot with only .4 of a second. That was the rule before the replay rule was put into affect. Even with the replay you can clearly see the clock was not started until he was fully turned and in the process of shooting.
the clock only shows time to the nearest tenth of a second. this does not rule out the possibility that it wasn't only 0.4 on the clock but it could have been something like 0.45 seconds on the clock. this may explain why it may seem that the clock may have seemed to start a tick late
Could that clock have started any later.

After the Lakers win the title this year they will be known as the team of the decade. The Spurs will just be a footnote in this era.
