  • How much training/time in your opinion, is needed to become fully competent in the use of hand held speed enforcement devices?

  • wankers absolute total wankers

  • How bored can you be..? Get a life and a hobby you sad creatures.Although I have neighours like them, too much time on their hands and probably too much money but nothing to spend it on.I'll cary on building my 'Rat Rod',riding my vintage bikes, competing in car trials, shooting, boating, cycling etc...How can people be so BORED..?

  • stupid stupid people

they even say, during the video, that they have caused someone to 'brake hard'

not good news for anyone behind

    really badly thought through nonsense

  • if i saw these doods i'd rip past on the back wheel at 160!

  • Innocent till proven guilty? really? is that how it works now?

  • if we can use shotguns rather than speed guns then i would join this thing

  • I drove past one of these little set ups while I was out along country roads, I just laughed my ass off as I drove past at my previosu speed =P

  • Bunch of no-lifers.

  • Meh do it outside schools...

  • Sad sad sad oaps! Please tell me this is a spoof video? If it's for real, what is the point? Do the oaps intend to try to prosecute any offenders? Ha! A court of law wouldn't get a conviction! I bet the guns readings are inaccurate due to the arthritic conditions of the oap speed capture brigade! This has just got to be a wind up!

  • They are the most pathetic people in the world. If anyone recognises these people in the video and you know them then warm them that if I see them on the street I will knock them over !!!!! Little fags!!!!

  • twats. why dont they just fuck off, they wont be able to catch me, going to fast!

  • A few killswitch backfires while going past (at 29.9 mph obviously, speeding is bad, mmkay?) will sort these lot out in an instant. Cant hold a speed camera gun when you're having a heart attack.

  • Speed gun wielding grannies/grandads. Coming to a town near you soon!

If i turn into this when im over 50 i'll do the world a favour and off myself, unlike these selfish buggers!

  • flip them the middle finger if you see them busy body cunts, hey guess what mugs i,ll fly past at 100 on my bike try and read my plate its the size of a stamp

  • well could be worse, they could smell of wee wee,,mmmmmm

  • I reckon she thinks it's an outdoor vibrator.........give the bastards the finger...sad, jaded old fossils, muja-hadjeen suicide bomber rejects, they just need to get a life.......maybe even drive at the C entipede U seless N eighbourhood T hick S addos watch them scarper!!!Thats the nearest she'll get to her pussy being molested!!!!

  • PPl like this should indeed find a better way to use their time! Get a lollipop person if u are worried about road safety! It bores the life out me that ppl could spend their time this way when we already have ppl to do this job, they are called POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi-vis pricks lol

  • I pay for Policing not "holyer than thou" self rightous pillocks in green jackets with a gadget they have no idea how to use. My solicitor would rip these idiots to peices in court and then I'd sue them for what's left of their pension. Or even simpler let natural selection take it's course and just mow them down and see if they can register how fast you hit them? GOOD SPORT!

  • Just what we need for tossers with hi vis jackets a sense of superiority and nothing better to do! I'm moving to France

  • SEARCH BANANAARON 4 THE BEST VIDS ON YOUTUBE VOTED FOR BY THE PUBLIC

  • I'd turn around and by as fast as i could, then do it again and ask for my average.

  • all this because of a few animals being ran over? god help us if someone has a serious accident as a result of these people trying to tag their speed.

  • Ide get out of my car and kick her in her haunted old fanny.

  • ***noise pollution

  • Would love to see1 of these pathetic old people get ther comeuppances by having a heart attack rite in front of someone they sent a speeding letter to and the driver just drove away... Revenge is sweet. Hope all these pricks die , leave us motorists alone. How about I come over to your bingo hall and complain about boos pollution or some other thing lyk tht. Start a war with bingo? Oh but because it's your hobby I can't do that. 2 words F*CK OFF

  • they need to get a life get some mates lol

  • I used to hate these sad human beings, but now i realise that they just havent got any friends,i mean,i dont know of anyone or anybody that knows anybody that knows of one.So next time you see a camera van or scaner give them a blast of you horn, just to make them feel wanted ,or deafen the bastards ;-))

  • bloody one of these groups almost got me tonght! but i am worried for them if someone gets caught 3 times it turns into a fine and if these people are responsible for taking someones lively hood aaway from them through loss of license im worried about the repercussions for the community speed groups, the police are there to serve and protect and there putting pensioners into the line of fire now!

  • Tossers get a life!!

  • apperently you have to be pulled over to the side of the road if they catch you with those otherwise it doesnt count...

  • FUCKING CUNTS

    FUCKING SLAG

    OLD CUNT

  • Get a life

  • Ok all you petrol heads.

Sunday 31st. In the morning nursing your hang overs, borrow the wifes hair dryer put on the flouresant jacket and get your own back. Good for a laugh. Maybe

  • fuckin deckrepid old bitch. get down the allottment or go bake me a cake. 2.41 check out the guys jack charlton comb over. also he looks like a peado

  • @nezza23 I've not had a good laugh like that in a long time. I'm still pissing myself laughing :-)

  • @btpiperuk i was right though. the guy was the spitting image of jack charlton.

  • Intersesting,

Surely this could be seen as Impersonating a Police Officer ?

What would happen if someone not even speeding was day dreaming, saw the old pilocks then paniced, thinking they were Police. Jumped on their brakes, lost control and caused an accident. Who would be at Fault and who would they claim off,?

  • Brilliant road safety that would be eh ? or didn't the do gooders think of that ? No they were too busy thing about themselves as per normal. Do you reckon in teh winter they will complain about cold and not having enough money ? maybe they should get a proper job and leave us the hell alone , To55ers

  • I see that all the tiny-minded fascist boy-racers are out in force as per usual, along with the Association of Barmy Drivers and Safe Speeders. None of you obviously give a damn about the half-a-million or more people who have been killed on UK roads in road crashes, or the million or more (probably more like 1.5 million) who have been permanently crippled and/or brain-damaged, or the millions of people who have suffered untold pain and shock and devastation at the loss of a loved one. URTCs!

  • Hmmm - a few comments on here about lack of attention being more dangerous than speed (which I agree with). Then loads of comments about "these OAPs" etc. If you look, there are also clearly some non-OAPs in there. That roll from behind the tree is still the best bit!

  • They feel justified in their actions.

But they are not able to enforce the law, only the police can.

  • nothing worse than giving a busibody high vis clothing and a bit of power !!!

  • can they catch me going sideways into em.

  • Retired senior citizens with too much free time.

  • at first ill slowed down thinking they are polices officers. with a second glance, i'd be in a lower gear pushing the rev counter to the limit

  • LOL id be blazin past them trying to set high scores :)

  • Sad people, sad lives - they are everywhere, we have an old fart whose elected himself ''Director'' of the residents association and is now in charge of the weedkiller...... surely there must be something useful these pensioners could be doing, are their lives just so empty that annoying their neighbours and roadusers is all they've got to look forward to???

Free plane ticket to Switzerland perhaps.... one way

  • Just goes to show what pathetic traitorous sheep are out there! Pensioners should know better . they have been robbed blind by the UKPLC!

  • stupid old duffers!! should be at their rest-home washing the TCP from their clothes!! if i see one, ill give 'em a friendly, one fingered jesture!!!

  • This is complete Alan Partridge!!!!

    What a waste of money

  • Pathetic old farts who think they have some kind of power....go home Cooke your dinner!

  • the police should be doing this not old fogies the fact is you have to hold these guns very still otherwise reading wont be accurate that silly old bugger never kept the divice still once therefore none of the readings would be accurate have these people nothing better to do put them back into work if theyre bored

  • I got caught by one of these speed traps ... manned by the old gits similar to this video

i wish these old boots would find something more productive to do with their time, saw because there licences have been revoked becausae their a danger to the public!

  • I would be entitled to run the fuckers over!

  • the problem is members of the public will only point it at the stereotypical driver, like maybe they see a corvette or an Evo, letting off people in Jags (as some police do when catching them speeding, TUT TUT). how do they send u the letter? lets hope they dont have access to the information and that they are just writing down the number plate and giving it to the police

  • 10/10 Adam! !

Makes a good point with a little fun at the same time.

Had to watch it again, just to see your "A-Team" moves, well done, good job done!

    Regards

    A Blair fan

    Ps Good editing.

  • I do hope that while they are on Community speed watch duties and ignoring their neighbourhood watch duties, that they don't get burgled! That would be tragic. Bit like the motorway wombles, sorry the traffic officers on the motorways, just wannabe policemen.

  • I think this should be in the comedy section? Pmsl.

  • dirty shit cunt traitors

  • So they can't fine you or give you points????? Might see how fast my 250BHP car will go!!! :D

  • wankers

  • They should all be rounded up and carted back to the old peoples home where they escaped from. Who let them out anyway?

The bit with the perv rolling around on the grass was quite funny.

  • @MrPaulHulme I believe the the person rolling about in the grass is Adam Blair. He probably made this vid and joined in for the laugh. If you're interested in speeding problems or rather avoiding fines, you should check out his othr stuff.

  • Love it

  • buch of fuckwitts with nothing to do !!!

  • what's the bald chap in the red supposed to be doing

  • point at my van and ill beat the shit out of you you have been warned

  • If you support doing 50 mph round a built up housing estate then you deserve to be served with a speeding fine/ penalty points before you kill someone... I love driving fast but not where there are kids/ cyclists/pets at risk. Sometimes residents have little option other than create awareness that speeding is an issue. If it stops my child or one of my neighbours being killed then I wouldnt hesitate doing it.

  • BUNCH OF GERIATRIC HITLER WANNABES WHO SHOULD HURRY UP AND DIE SO I DONT HAVE TO FUND THEIR PENSIONS. SEND ME A LETTER AND I WILL WIPE MY ARSE ON IT AND HAND IT BACK TO THEM

SUGGESTION LETS START A WIPE IT AND RECYCLE IT CAMPAIGN WITH THESE LETTERS!!!!

  • FFFFFFFFF

  • Please people DON'T TELL THEM ABOUT TAZERS....

  • so open to abuse and to have grandad and grandma out to get you well what can you say and for the man saying if i caught him before he braked hard he would be doing 40 + are the motorist not getting hit hard enough

  • I'm usually far too busy looking out for potholes and sunken drain covers to take any notice of these absurd little Hitlers. But if I did notice them, I might just stop and punch them on the nose.

  • As a serving prison officer, I see victim support groups which are only funded by charities, if these bleeding heart, politically correct, fuddie duddies have some time to spare, I can find them some meaningful work to do!

    Badco.

  • Morons, plain & simple. Go find something else to do like knitting...

  • Adam's awesome:-) but the only good things about this bunch or geriatric busybodies is that they are a) not pissing me off doing 25 in 60 zones and 40 in 30 limits (on the grounds they can't be a hazard as they never go over 40) and b) saving the country money in healthcare & pension spending by getting themselves flattened by startled and pissed off drivers! Like the idea of using them as speed humps - probably be better for my tyres and suspension!!!

  • Pricks like this would be rounding up Jews if the police told 'em to. Utter, utter cunts

  • if i see any of these jobs worth cunts at the side of the road ill be pulling over to knock some shit out of um!

  • its pathetic thats all i can say

  • The sad fact is that the police have indeed abandoned fixed camera's in favour of moblie traps and even illegaly parked vans containing a speed trap.

Would it not be better to watch the road around you than constantly having to check to see if you are 3 mph over a limit?

  • The bit with Adam is funny, the rest is just sad. I live in Surrey and the best news I heard today that the council is looking at getting rid of all their fixed speed camera's.

It's as we have always thought just another tax on the motorist nothing to do with road safety as the money goes DIRECTLY to the government coffers.Unfortunately we will probably land up with a load of "do gooders" with nothing better to do than stand around with radar guns, why don't they do proper charity work!

  • It's just wrong, pure and simple. I'm all up for maintaining safe roads and protecting people (not sure about cats), but there are ways and means. These supposed 'do-gooders' sicken me. Amongst other things, the two elderly people armed with speed guns just takes the p*ss, c'mon.

Lol @ Mr Blair's acrobatic stunts, classic :-)

  • Th's it i'm outta here, the universe has just gone totally insane!

  • Comment removed

  • sums it all up really, they are aimlessly pointing at every passing car that is clearly at a snails pace, rather than using any common sense whatsoever..

    Adam's roll - classic!

  • Looks like a good ploy by the police to get the drivers thinking its them on the other end of the cameras! saves them time money and effort obviously!!

  • What a bunch of losers. If i ever got one of their letters i'd wipe my arse with it, and send it back to them. They should get a part time job if they are that bored.

  • why dont these people get a part time job because they are obviously bored and very sad people who probally complain about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

  • @yousuckfrogs Well, I'm not a grandad yet, & hopefully not for some time. So, we have a low speed limit - & your point is...? Couldn't agree more about peple not paying attention. Seeing somebody on a pedestrian crossing come within inches of being run down by a driver who is TEXTING summs it all up really. Anyway, doesn't matter what the speed limit is, if you exceed it, you're in the wrong. Oh, & btw, I actually agree with some of the comments here - OAPs with speed guns is not the way to go

  • @themikeh I'm quite aware that 99% of the people here might think that, but your logic fails you. It doesn't mean they're not as described, just that you're most probably in that 99%. Anyway, it's pretty clear that 99% of people here don't think that way just by looking at the comments, & as for 99% of the population? I think it's you who needs to dig your head out of the sand.

  • My wife recently got caught by a speed camera doing 36 in a 30 zone, there was noone around and it is on a dual carriage way, the whole event has caused her to almost stop driving rather than re educating her, this use of people to do the job of the police by hitting us the soft target is just another misuse of power. As an ex policeman from Jersey, I know the training on using police equipment we had to go through, so how can they do the proper job? why aren't they doing after real criminals?

  • I don't know who is the saddest ....

    Me for watching it.

    Those who were in it.

    Those who compiled it.

    Fun though....

  • While following a car through a village at 26mph, just prior to a corner, an elderly woman jumped out pointing a speed gun at the car in front of me. The car, taken by surprise slammed on their brakes doing an emergency stop. I had to to do the same but I was on a motorbike. I won't say that I could of come of my bike as I am trained to do emergency stops. However, the bike tyres and engine took a punishment for such a stupid action. I spoke to the elderly couple who were not interested.

  • "drunken like (sic) power going to their heads" - Mr Dee seems to me to describe some of the inept cretins mentioned below.

  • Adam, they all want locking up in an old folks home, where they can't cause any harm to motorists.

  • I am not for speeding as I am in my 60's but I would never lower myself to the same level as this bunch of nutters with the obsession of drunken like power going to their heads.

  • Adam, the hand held speed guns as shown are not infallable they are prone to incorrect readings due to the fact they are hand held, anyone handling one can make it read a higher speed than the vehicle is doing, even without knowing they are actually doing so, i got caught one one some years ago and challenged the reading and was lucky enough to have my speeding fine quashed. In the hands of the elderly as shown they can be very unhelpful!!

  • Let's face it Adam, the vast majority of British motorists have the driving skills of an over-ripe banana. They are highly incompetent with not the slightest idea how to turn a corner, go around a bend, use an acceleration lane, use motorway lanes, use a roundabout, use their brakes and gas pedal and even turn their steering wheel - let alone use their mirrors and signals.

The more devices used to slow down these inept people the better.

  • I`d be surprised if they could get an accurate reading from hand shake looking at the age of some of those `COMMUNITY SPEED WATCH PATROL`. (OFFICERS) LOL

  • This is proven not to work properly because the radar gun has to be fixed and static NOT in the wobbly moving hand of a pensioner or Police officer.

This is flawed for the following reasons:

If the person is moving toward the vehicle at 5mph then would add that amount to the speed.

The arm movement of the gun holder could easily work in this way too therefore:

If the people were to quickly point the radar gun at a lamp post or gatso U could send out a fine to the said lamp post or gatso!

  • Not sure about the 'old dears' with radar guns, but the guy in the dayglo orange jacket and dark sunglasses looks pretty cool!!!

  • Using a bunch of Coffin Dodgers with failing eyesight and early onset dementia is a complete and utter waste of time. As no prosecutions can be bought about using the info they collect, I can see boy racers deliberately seeing who can get the highest speed warning letter. Whoever came up with this bright idea must have a brain the size of a Weasel's wedding tackle!!

  • That's coppers for you: @2:08 "Yert... bb...dibb buu"

and what's with the bloke at 2:42?? Looks like a freaking tranny or something in silver eyeliner!

  • Absolutley Brilliant. Best case I've ever for youthanasia though. On a serious note, do these people not realise that they are making themselves targets? I heard of one bloke who changed his number plates on his Ferrari to something like F*** Y** and got 88MPH past them. Naughty I know, but I'm reliably informed he couldn't resist the urge... Keep it coming Adam, BRILLIANT !!!

  • WTF is the point in this CRAP

  • This all started since the publication of The Joy of Sex. These people are now having orgasms in their continual quest for new and unusual methods. The happiness from one guy when he said, "There's one here doing just over 30" is a pleasure to witness and the one that said, "He's braking quite hard, if I'd have caught him earlier he'd have been doing 40 plus" is hair-raising (had he had some to raise).

  • Think most of them had better go to specsavers.LOL LOL

  • Why not lay them down and use the OAPs as speed humps

  • what a load the old woman with the speed gun was acting like some sort of john wayne i totally agree roads have speed limits and they should be abided by but to use dimwit oap's with nothing better to do then put their teeth in and march to the road side and take out their frustrations out on motorists is a load of crap

  • Is it not a shame that we a society have to lower our standards to this form of drastic spying. It’s like a day out with fun and games for these idiots. Why don’t they come and watch my house so that I don’t get burgled, if they have nothing to do. As if we the drivers did not have enough on our hands..

  • I'd rather these old farts played "quick on the draw" at the side of the road than to be clagging up the highways at a constant 25mph as they always seem to do!!! lmao

  • I would bet my house on it that ALL these upstanding members of the community police team that drive and even EVERY member of the police force that use speed cameras to catch so called speeders have at some time broken the speed limit... WHAT A SET OF BLOODY HYPOCRITES. Why don't they concentrate on bad drivers?

  • Apart from wanting to see their Training Certificate, equipment calibration certificates etc I would also want to see the risk assessment (if any) that has been carried out for each location that these operatives are deployed. Personally if someone who was obviously NOT a Police Officer jumped out and pointed something at me, I would be inclined to think the worst. What would you do if you thought someone was pointing a weapon at you?

  • 1984 in our backyards - it will end in tears....

    I predict a riot!

    Peter Cook

Author 'Sex, Leadership and Rock'n'Roll' and punk rock parking pest

  • Well, if you drive within the legal speed limits, you don't have to worry about anything do you? Some of the comments from the t*ssers below are quite typical of the "it's the law but it doesn't apply to me" brigade. So, you've paid your road tax & insurance - that gives you the right to do what you want does it? W**ker. I think we should have more cameras & stiffer penalties. And don't hide behind the "safety" issue...every bit of road in the Uk has a LEGAL limit. Grow up!

  • @gooddriver57 Get a life ... really ... dig your head out of the sand and come back to the real world, not some any pandy fantasy land ... Im sure 99% of the population will think that your the w**ker around here.

  • The most optimal safety rule is keeping your eyes on the road and at "objects" in movement (vehicles, pedestrians, etc), while being aware of all the risk assessments ahead of (as well as behind) you.

What the bureaucrats would have us believe is that safety consists at looking mainly at traffic signs (NONmoving objects) and constantly at your dashboard (NOT the road, where danger is to be found), while adding "Don't go above the speed limit — it's that simple"

    …/…

  • …/… Another safety rule — linked, obviously, to the main one — is keeping as much space (as far as is possible) between you and other vehicles.

If I am close to another car on an otherwise empty road, safety will demand that I speed up, however briefly, to get distance between him & myself. If we are both going the speed limit & I (briefly) pass that, no matter what you say, I am being both safe & responsible.

But were a speed trap present, I would be called an irresponsible speedster

  • @gooddriver57 Get a life grandad, the UK has one of the lowest motorway speed limits in Europe, even the dear old yanks can do 75 legaly, cars and drivers are safe at speed, its the ones who are not paying attention that are the real danger, 30 and daydreaming is allot worse than 35 and on the ball.

  • @yousuckfrogs I agree, in fact if we were in the USA we could fire back in self defence!!

  • Bloody fool that I am - I thought it was the speedsters that were breaking the law not public spirited citizens. Thank you to those pisters that have put me straight

  • Oh God! Have these dodery ole farts got nothing better to do. The way they were swerving the camera and the likley shake it might appear that you could be doing a ton in a 30 zone.

  • As an elderly person I am totally ashamed of the morons are doing.

Sad Sad Sad what else can you say.

They all need locking up, if they have nothing else to do.

Most cameras are being switched off, is this the Big Society???

Don't want anything to do with these idiots.

  • @1rjw sorry about the typo's

    Bloody annoyed

  • @1rjw Locking up is too kind

  • Its the do-gooder society at it again. Nothing else to do with their time, its embarrassing to say the least. So if you fail your entrance exam to get a job at McDonalds then you can always join the traffic police (no disrespect to the peeps working at McDonalds)

  • not good

  • hmmm do they have any powers? I would surely like to see their training certificates and the calibration certificate for their devices. If peole start getting done by them peole will get out of their cars and kick their asses.

  • Surely bridge would be more fun for the old folks to do!

  • sorry about the 2 typo`s got carried away in the emotion!!

  • What a bunch of bored twats !!!!!!! by the time the OAP`s react to a seeing a car its probably shot past them let alone them clocking it :-) Oh well, they nned to do something apart from wetting themselves whislt sipping on half pints of John Smiths.

  • If the Government really is going to do away with fixed cameras, I fear the numbers of these vigilantes will increase dramatically.

  • do gooders nothing better too do with there time than this gooo and nit a cardi or bake a cake have coffee mornings just leave us a lone we PAY ROAD TAX AND INSUREANCE so bugger off ...................

  • lol but it doesnt generate any income for the councils or police so will never be allowed to take off lol!

  • My wife received a letter informing her she had been caught doing 36 in a 30 by these pensioners, who have nothing better to do with their time other than stand by the road and pretend to be law enforcers. I promptly replyed with a letter stating if I received another letter threatening me with police action I would be seeing my solicitor. They never got back to me.......
