  • The 2 dislikers were Nintendo and Sony

  • is this the boss?

    SOR2?

  • @Nkatsikanis level 7 part 2 -- mechanical elevator. Directly BEFORE the bosse(s) (Particle or Molecule, or whatever/however many more there are depending on your difficulty)

  • There should be a law requiring this music to be in all elevators...

  • you know. this song always gets remade and it never seems to capture the amount of ass kicking the original has. I think its cause they always remix it into a techno song. I would like someone to remake this into a death metal song. I think that would do the trick.

  • @RBNinja Naw, this wouldn't really work as a metal song. Definitely more along the lines of industrial and digital hardcore (like Atari Teenage Riot). I think it's because everyone is preoccupied with the current "clean" and sophisticated synth sounds, and then try to make this song fit into that mold, when so much of its original character is in those "grimy" and abrasive sounds. All it needs is some modern proceesing power, not to be "cleaned up".

  • @BDNproductions

    Kinda like this? :D /watch?v=DfPx9-WnjG0

    Complete with Prodigy samples.

  • this is exactjy 20 years old -> 1992 baby!!!

  • Shit just got real B-)

  • this song is so ahead of its time, it pushes the megadrive sound chip to its limits!

  • if this was a movie it would turn out like street fighter

  • @blackking614 Video game movies suck anyway, they just rewrite everything and make it absolute crap. With games nowadays getting more complex and competitive with movies in terms of cinematic s I think it's even more imperative to separate the two genres. Besides I couldn't see a good SoR script ever being written. 4 people run around town kicking the shit out of punks, ninjas and robots. That will translate REAL well.. It'll either be a shitty martial arts b movie, or a satire.

  • @Psychowilly

Actually, there is one way I could see this working. Fast forward the game's setting into a romanticized 80s or 90s cyberpunk not too distant future and suddenly the Punks, Ninjas, Mafia and Robots all make a hell of a lot of sense.

The games already had that sort of feel to them in the first place, what with one of the playable characters being a cyborg and the whole fighting your way through a factory of Terminator robots part.

  • @GravianS I'd LOVE to see that done proficiently, alas I just don't see anybody in H-wood willing to cough up the dough for such a thing. Streets Of Rage definitely did go about a pre- cyberpunk feel about it, at least during the last two games.

  • love this tune, but i know every motherfucker on this lift on this stage are out for you're blood. i dread to think what this whole experience is like on "mania" mode.

  • TWARRRRPPPPP.... THIS IF FKIN STOMPIN!

  • Never stop fighting.

  • GET HYPE

  • This was when you knew shit just got real and the final stage was coming up. The long ass elevator fight leading up to the robots waiting for you up top. Highly climactic, then you enter Mr. X's den. >:)

  • Ahhh, my heart!!!!! my heart!!!!!!!! love this shit. Gets me high. I miss the 90s.

  • Every part on this level was a nightmare except the first part. First you have the Galsia/Donovan/Signal gang, then the Galsia/Donovan/Jet gang, then the Ninja/Martial Artist gang, then the Spiker Biker/Kickboxer gang, then the Galsia/Donovan/Big Ben/Jack gang only to fight the robots that fire lasers, shock you, and hit you in the head with a metal ball that makes a metallic noise on flesh contact. Wow!

  • @outlaw2747 KLOONG!

  • Holy shit! Techno

  • Believe it or not, I was introduced to rave/house/techno music from this game.

  • For Some Reason My Game Play Pace Always Gets Faster When This Drops! GRAND UPPAHS And Straight HEADBUTTS All Over That Elevator!!

  • No matter how careful I am, always seem to lose at least one life at this bit. I blame the music!

  • @leebibbmmo Most of us do. It's a very challenging stage :)

  • I think this game would have made an excellent movie...

  • @TheHikariOne Yeah, I sometimes like to watch Rumble in the Bronx and pretend it's what a Streets of Rage movie might have been like.

  • @TheHikariOne If they do decide to make of movie of this game, Missy Peregrym from Rookie Blue should play as Blaze Fielding.

  • @TheHikariOne being completely honest i am in the process of writing a story and screenplay just for fun. maybe one day it could get published. i kept very true to the story. i also plan on composing the music just to make sure fans of the game really get the feeling that its streets of rage. but yea sadly i doubt it will get anywhere.

  • @happybirthdayhomie Well, you never know man. If Kingdom Hearts got its start by two random guys from both companies in an elevator (like the rumor goes, anyway), ANYTHING is possible.

...And, ahem, if they do turn your SOR idea down, you could always "scratch off the serial numbers" and change it into an original series of your making. >X)

  • @TheHikariOne thanks for the advice. when its done i might actually try to submit it but i dont think they take scripts from unexperienced 18 year old fans lol

  • @TheHikariOne lol it's funny you should say that haha I think someone actually made a pretty decent "mock" trailer for the game with custom remix lmao it's worth taking a look at =DD Check it out ^_^

  • most badass music for that cold steel elevator.......and all those maniacs falling from the sky to stop you....

  • @AceofDlamonds and it's also cool how as this music is playing and your going up, the sun is rising in the background

  • I still remember that one great comment on here a long time ago - "This sounds like someone poured water on a robot". ROFL!!!!!!!1

  • @Quadraxon I seen the "Robot having sex with a washing machine" comment many times before too.

  • Streets of RAVE

  • @TheLabtec156 haha nice one xD

  • i just beat this on Mania myself and after i beat it.i said to myself" Did i just beat this on Mania?????

  • How in the world could they do this with the sorry ass soundchip in the genesis? This is amazing stuff.

  • @KitanavsMileena Yuzo dude is the master.

  • is this the one with those damn robots, i swear there the trickiest ones to fight...

  • @MultiMrpickle It's the part after the factory, where you are on the elevator going up to the roof to fight the robot boss.

  • Where is that picture in your "video" from? It's pretty cool!

  • @dtfan0809

Its a wallpaper version of the official soundtrack cover. I got it from a simple Google search

  • Wtf how did he make the Sega Genesis sound like this when it was only 16 bit! ha i dont hear Sony, Microsoft, OR Nintendo make anything like this, xD

  • 2 people never made it past this stage. Lol.

  • 1:36 I thought my cell phone was dying for the longest time LOL

  • Have you got Streets of Fayetteville? That's a cool remix, you can hear it in Botchamania 10.

  • Seriously... The Genesis is the greatest thing in existance. Haters can just bite my ass.

  • @XBladenoJutsu Enemy: HATER

    Special move: ASSBITE

    Loool.

  • I feel like having a rave party and having this music playing in the backround. Anyone with me?

  • Mania is harder than the Hardest difficutly, for those who don't know.

  • when i heard this beat at stage 7, my reaction was ".........oh hot damn.......shits gonna get real..." then out of no where, an onslaught of enemies came in for an epic battle!!

  • those 2 people who dislike the song can suck balls...one suck can suck the right and the other can suck the left

  • Intense battles on the hardest difficulty at this point!!! I fuckin Loved this level!! CHAOS!!!!!!!!

  • this kicks ass !

  • this is pure fight music

  • i love this song...so much time in that fucking elevator ^^

  • this music is the shit yuzo is a musical freckin genuis godamn!!!!!!!!!!!!(000)

  • i would love to play this level but in four player mode

  • @stevetheyuppie if they only had such a damn thing on thhe game.

  • This game, the music...Was a rite of passage for me as a musician and a human being.

  • i will need a few chickens for this level

  • Comment removed

  • Still amazing to this day!

  • Tricky good sounding FUN! =D

It looks like a fun game from the picture =D

    Sincerely and eternally mi,

    -LoveInf.

  • Its kicking off!!!!

  • This music + monster energy drink = EVERYONE GOT THEIR ASS KICKED!

  • Does anybody know what the 'D' in D Signal means?!

  • @XiaoFury

Always tried to figure it out but... Probably a kind of color like dull greenish as the coat wore by this dude but..

  • @wisefly Maybe dull green signal? lol

  • @XiaoFury I always associated it with the word "dingy" when I was a kid. My brother used to joke that it stood for "Duck Signal".

  • @MiyukiNakira That signal does look dingy, doesn't he? lol

  • @MiyukiNakira I always thought it was "O" for "Olive Signal".

  • @blueshogun96 I assumed that "D.Signal" stood for "Dark Signal" - it's interesting because only one ever appears, and it's also the last time the Signal enemies appear in the game.

  • @WaterCrane True, but it still looks like an "O" to me, lol.

  • @WaterCrane pretty sure it stands for "Drab-green Signal"

  • at this point of the game, it's safe to just say "It was nice knowing you".

  • expander was the downfall till streets of rage 3 of the mohawks gang

  • 2 people lost in this stage while playing in easy mode.

  • @PeonLfg They didn't even get to hear and familiarize themselves with this track because R. Bear kicked their ass before they even could make it to this level. lol

  • @jurrien22

Yeah, in the worse scenario they probably didn't get through Abadede. :p

  • @PeonLfg hahahaha! RIGHT!!!

  • Now THIS is a massive action tune!!!

Hail to Genesis emulators, ass kicker good old times 4 ever :D

  • Skate: "Yeah! I'm striking a totally kickass pose!"

    Max: "Hulk CRUSH Skate!"

    (Death)

  • Ewwww that elevator!

  • genesis music for the win

  • imagine having this as your alarm clock

  • @BlurkFromUtterSpace gonna try that, I'm gonna put this as an alarm on my cellphone. I'll tell you what it'll be like. (I'm sure I'm gonna jump off my bed)

  • @BlurkFromUtterSpace YOu'd get up, go outside for the paper, roundhouse your neighbour's dog and come back inside and pull a GRAND UPPER on your wife.

  • @hangemhighsaddam yeah I think so 2

  • @DejaBlue95 Nice page!

  • @hangemhighsaddam Oh my tekken 6 page

  • Haha, I feel sorry for gay ass Nintendo fanbitches, cuz they never got to experience such awesome music on their SNES...xDDD

  • @diasflac0g It's comments like these that give the fanbases for both systems a bad rep.

    Go eat a dick.

  • @SUTOruin Lmao, you mad homie? xDDDD

You can't blame me for speaking the truth faggot. I know the truth hurts, but I dont give a fuck :) SNES fangirls never had awesome beats like this on their system plain and fucking simple hahaha. Weather you like it or not. Insted they had gay shit like Mario and Donky Kong. Hahahaha! Nothing but gay ass sissy kids beats. While we had awesome high quality badass techno beats in our games. XDD

  • @diasflac0g

Donkey Kong Country's soundtracks are far from gay dude. Im a big SEGA fan but that comment was awful

  • @diasflac0g High quality? Outside of Streets of Rage those words should never be associated with Mega Drive music, unless it's therefore describing the lack of.

And last time I checked ''techno'' is more gay cliche than, well, whatever the hell SNES music is. xD Goes to show by fact, Nintendo thought more outside the box during the 16-bit massacre, while Sega were living on R&D on teenage lifestyle stereotypes.

  • @diasflac0g You, sir, are a narrow-minded fool who is moronic, and even idiotic as well. SNES might've had more kiddy music a bit of the time, but kiddiness doesn't automatically make it bad. You truly are a disgrace to every fanbase out there.

@strykah92 Outside of the box? Are you on grandpa's ol' pipe with your reefer friends again in the nude spa? Sure, Techno was easier on Genny because of its soundchip, but it was VERY capable of good creative melody. There's more than SoR you know.

  • Me playin with Skate:HHOOHEEHEE

    Cousin playin with Blaze: PYTHOW

    MEMORIES

  • Axel + Grand uppa = God Mode

  • Oh, and has anyone mentioned hearing this:

    "HEY!!!" *Bomb sound.... EXPLOSION!!*

  • Reminds me a lot of Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy.

  • @manka6 Never thought of it that way before.

  • best fighting game ever,ssf2,was ok but this wins hands down, also the music got me into trance n club music...im now a 38 year old raver..

  • GRAND-UPPER!!

  • This games soundtrack was yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeears ahead of its time.

  • the perfect soundtrack to encapsulate level 7. it proper pumps you up to beat up all those ninjas, turtles, donavans, jets, fat bastards and the dude with the knife. who else use to love throwin the knife back at him lol

  • @speedgun00 "Hoohoohoohahahaaah!" *knife hitsound* *game over*

  • Really... I still don't know HOW Yuzo Koshiro made the Genesis sound like THIS! It was amazing! Still IS!

  • @DrSopenkus Motohiro Kawashima did this track for the game :)

  • @jacksprat1990 It's fun, you can clearly hear when it's Yuzo or Motohiro doing the track, because Motohiro has a much more aggressive and darker approach. xD

  • @DrSopenkus This track inparticular wasn't actually made by Yuzo Koshiro. It was made by Motohiro Kawashima. He also made most of the Streets of Rage 3 soundtrack.

  • @DrSopenkus

Actually, Motohiro Kawashima made this one, not Yuzo. Motohiro made some of the songs for SoR3, namely the boss music and Dub Slash, though for SoR, Yuzo did all of them with the sole exception of Expander.

  • @DrSopenkus Yuzo didn't make this song. Motohiro did.

  • @DrSopenkus Uhh yeah, except this track wasn't composed by Yuzo. This was composed by Motohiro Kawashima.

  • I couldn't help but want to dance when beating the crap out of enemies on this lift section. >.>

And sometimes I would, it's just so hard to resist not wanting to rock to this sick beat.

  • This song gave a taste in the 90s on how music is sounding like today.

  • Seriously feel playing as Axel, a pair of Glow Sticks would just drop down with this track. XD

  • I never heard of this game before. the tune is catchy for the first minute.

  • @raydioaktivman You have been living under a rock.

  • best fighting song ever, tekken or street fighter could not compare to this, it was just tooo much! game leaves me speechless, im glad other games are not like this these days, because it realy makes Street of Rage unique and superior

  • that elevator sequence is BRUTAL on Maniac mode!! l'd be amazed if someone passed it without using a continue.

  • @1shoryuken dude just type in "SOR 2 level 7 mania" and u'll be amazed ;)

  • Bikers + Kickboxers section on Mania... I think this BGM was the only thing that kept me from leaving the room in frustration :)

  • Don't listen to this when you walk to work! esp if you live in Manchester....

  • @wtfisgoingonableable i used to listen to this in Manchester, its amazing!

  • Don't you just enjoy riding that elevator?

  • Is Blaze's bio true?

About her being on heroin? and being abused and almost a syndicate douchey??

  • The beep of 0:28 always make me check my cell phone for some reason.
