If you want another classic, watch 'Santo Contra Los Monstruos', Mexico 1960s. I believe you can actually find it with english subtitles.

Just a small taste: Santo (the hero) fights a group of "monsters" (fat guys in extra-cheap costumes) and each shot goes from being night and day, cut occasionally with shots of Santo (yeah, the same one) driving his car down some road. Truly weird and awesome.
