It is him. Incubus were a lot better back then, their 2nd album S.C.I.E.N.C.E. has some masterpiece songs on it. Although their follow up album to that 'Make Yourself' was also very good, they've changed a lot since their early years. Not necessarily for the worse; Everyone has their own favourites of theirs. I just liked them more back when they were more crazy and funky.

They're still one of my favourite bands, and all their albums are great, but their early stuff is my fav.

I listened to their other albums and I could appreciate their music, but they lost their uniqueness. @Lechaton2113 idk. i think Fungus Amongus was made first, because in the Enjoy Incubus EP, they added a DJ to the lineup, whereas in Fungus Amoungus, they didn't have a DJ. they're both great albums tho.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E is by far my favorite album because of its pure BADASSNESS and just has that attitude to all of its tracks that really stands out from all their albums that followed. Like when you look at the change from SCIENCE to Make Yourself you can just see the artistic prowess these men have to naturally progress to such a tight sound they would eventually form. It's too bad dirk lance had to leave cuz his FAT FUNKMETAL bass tone left with him forever. i still like their new stuff tho obvi.

Dirk and Ben have completly diferent styles of bass,i prefer more a funky bass (pop/slap) therefore i like dirk more as a bassist,or liked,ben's bass lines are a lil to boring,nothing new or creative,i also think a lot of incubus's style has changed drastically for the worse sence dirk left,although i still love this band just feels like somethings missing sence ben came along
