  • This is hilarious.

  • Never get lasik if charged under 2000$

    299$? you kidding me man...

  • That is exactly what happened in Final Destination 5 O_O

  • Just because she made a mistake that doesn't mean she's stupid. Anyone can make that same mistake. You can, all of a sudden, have an accident breaking your right leg and you're unconscious. Then you end up in the hospital to have your right leg amputated and since this is an emergency. A surgeon at the hospital performs the surgery makes a mistake and remove the left leg instead. Now, does that makes you an idiot? Get it.

  • @mybabyface1 I agree- people scramble to look for some way to justify what happened, some way to believe that it couldn't possibly happen to them. Kathy Griffin was partially blinded by a very expensive, well reputed LASIK surgeon- that woman who got her face and body ripped apart by her friends chimp; none of these women deserved what happened to them and none of them did anything to. Sometimes crazy unfair shit just happens.

  • she didnt sue?????? and shes a lawyer, she doesnt even need to hire one!?!?!?!?!

  • Mistake one: She went to the $299 per eye strip center. It is $299 per eye because the laser is cheap. Lasik with top quality equiptment and doctors cost $2000 to $4000.

  • i live in Miami and i already know which laser suregon will do it. only the ones at Bascom Plamer #1 eeye institute in the U.S. i recommend anyone whose thinking of doing lasik in miami or other state /. they know their stuff. i had strabismus surgery there when i was 1 back in 87.

  • @oblongfan1 forgot to mention it is more pricey than other places but youre getting your moneys woorth worth. and yours eyes will have 20/20 vision again. its 5,000 per eye

  • No Brain today! oh and free gas :)

  • Was thinking about doing Lasik, but this video cured me of that. Just too much of a risk because if they eff up, you are blind for life. I'll stick with my contact lenses and glasses.

  • she realizes now in hindsight. hahaha

  • @MeesterCrumpet You see, that was not nice; do people make fun of you because you are a retarded asshole? I think not.

  • shes a lawyer but she went for the $299 an eye surgery? she must lose alot of cases

  • I doubt if she is stupid if she managed to graduate from law school; she may have just made a bad mistake which obviously the scumbag sons of bitches pieces of lowlife shit who mocked her never did.

  • allot of comments call this lady stupid, may be she is, but that also proves that people who are victims of this kind of clinics will hardly receive any support or understanding and will be ashamed to complain to any one, even their families.

  • I paid 6278 dollar for lasik surgery in year 2000 ,in tromsø ,norway.

One russian dude ,did the operation, and my vision is still 20/20 ,11 years later.

No dry eyes, or pain only bad nightvision the first few years. But the doctor warned me about it because i got huge pupils, he also said that it was going to improve after a few years wich it also did.i only see small halos in nighttimes now,not even a problem, the first 5 years the halos was bad,but overall none regrets at all :)

  • I paid $5000 for LASIK in Salt Lake City. It left me permanently night-blind. I had to change jobs for something that wouldn't require driving after sunset. My surgeon was director of refractive services at a major teaching hospital, not a newbie surgeon in a storefront office.

  • 1 person was the deceptecon that was that asian chicks lasik machine :O

  • i got lasik on my brown eyed winker. it is now pinker that poo pushing stinker

  • Stupid stupid stupiddddd

  • CHEAP SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • fuck man i remember seeing that and being like man thats cheap

  • simple enough...

You were F***ed at the beginning of watching that commercial..

500$ free gass for 299$ an eye, hell that sounds so stupid to me and i dont see why you would even think of doing a 100$ eye surgery... Not like you can use that 500$ gas card if you cant see.....

  • get blinded in one eye but receive $500 free gas?

Lol, this is fucked up beyond believe, these cowboys need shutting down

  • This was where Buzz Lightyear worked before toystory.

  • I'll just stay dependent on glasses/contacts thank you very much!

  • She's a lawyer? They give away gas if you get your eyes done there, ROFL!!!

  • @Awesoome3

    You are an awesome douchebag.

  • That must suck not having depth perception.

  • thats totally fucked, i wouldn't sue that guy, i'd fucking carve his right eye out myself

  • A lawyer?!!! what a stupid bitch. She chose price over experience and, obviously, didn't do her research.

I feel sorry for her but she's s fucking moron.

  • @femmefatale1990 You are a fucking asshole; I do not feel sorry for you.

  • @RPenta Why *would* you feel sorry for me? and please! are you really telling me I'm not right? you're supposed to research the place and person who'll be performing your surgery. This woman saw a cheap commercial on tv and called it without asking serious questions about a major surgery.

  • @femmefatale1990 Yes, I am telling you are not right-for calling her a stupid bitch-woman lost sight in her eye probably due to the malpractice of this doctor and the facility. That makes you a douchebag.

  • @RPenta This reminds me of the idiots who call the number when they see a commercial for a for-profit school.

  • you get what you pay for ......

  • Doctors will never admit wrong doing...the insurance companies that provide malpractice insurance make the doctors sign a contract.

There's a clause in the contract that says the insurance company can drop their case and not have to pay damages if the doctor admits to wrong doing.

  • I feel sorry for her and lasik? I'd rather wear cool brand named glasses any day and there's contact lenses, too.

  • Burning flesh? Profanity? Oh hell no! You go in to get one thing corrected and come out with cataracts? Maybe I should reconsider getting this procedure done, damn.

  • fuck this surgery. Too much risk. FUCK ALL LASER VISION SURGEONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • y can't ppl ever be thankful for wat they have???

  • @KrypptikkSoulslayer im not agreeing with the doctors cause i wont get the surgery but to your response when your vision is litteraly crap of course people want to correct it. because of not having glasses when i was younger made a big deal in life maybe i would have been something if i could actually see the board. what is to be thankful for when i cant see past two or three feet in front of me, and everything is a blur? people do things out of desperation when they have nothing to lose

  • they picked the wrong patient to mess the surgery up on. lol she's a lawyer.

  • set lasers to blind!

  • Had lasik in 2001 and I smelled burning flesh. In 2008 I began to notice my distant vision was slowly fading and now in 2010 my distant vision is poor. Well, time for a second procedure.

  • @tech951 There's a reason you could smell burning flesh. Read the next sentence very slowly. You paid a doctor to burn your flesh with a laser!!!! <-- Read that again. Did you do any research at all?!?!! Everyone who has the procedure smells burning flesh, because that's what the lasers are doing!!!! They're lasers! Not magical vision beams! They are re-shaping your eye, by removing flesh. Educate yourself you stupid American prick!

  • @colegedropoutyourmom What in the hell are you so angry about that would prompt you to reply to a comment posted to a Youtube.com video with such negativity? For the record, I merely posted that comment as a first hand recount of what went on during the procedure. Surprise!

  • @tech951 I wasn't aware that there was a youtube.org, but thank you for being clear about which youtube you were referring to. Your first post seemed to be insinuating that the smell of burning flesh was an indication that the procedure had gone wrong. The abortion of a lawyer in the video made the same insinuation, which you appeared to be supporting with an ignorant post. Upon reading your second post however, I've realized that you just have difficulty identifying relevant information.

  • @colegedropoutyourmom You are free to think what you want. I re-read my posts several times looking for the 'Youtube.org' you mention but I failed to find it.

  • @tech951 ...one more time for those in the back of the class. 'youtube.com' is the only YouTube. There is no youtube.org, therefore '.com' is redundant and irrelevant. Just as the smell of burning flesh was irrelevant regarding your vision deterioration. It was a misleading post, just the way Americans like it. Why don't you go buy a house you can't afford and get even more obese, maybe get a $100 eye surgery while you're at it.

  • The vast majority of lasik "doctors" go through a weekend instructional seminar thats promoted by the machine manufacturer.

    Welcome to American medicine

  • you'd think a lawyer would go for a specialist consultation LOL.... cheapskate.

  • Now what I am talking about is where there are medical scholars doing this kind of work to cure blindness through dna/rna reconstruction from your own body, and that is a fact! Now I am not talking about embryonic stem cell therapy, I am talking about what can be done with your own genetic make up! Make no mistake about this, and that is there flexible elements in your genetic make up that involve adult stem cell treatment!

  • Lissa a corneal transplant is not your only hope to restore your vision in your right eye! You can have stem cell treatment therapy done with your own genetic make up to restore your vision in your right eye in case you did not know. Now you live in an area where there are medical school hospitals that you never considered!

  • whats this world coming to?

  • She got what she paid for. If you want an awesome lasik procedure go to a specialist. I had mine done saturady and got advanced customvue lasik. Worth every penny of the three thousand dollars I paid. Next day seeing 20/15. I don't really feel sorry for people who pay a mere $300 an eye. Idiot.

  • She didn't pay to be blinded.

    You're all heart, aren't you?

  • @herbal1971 yeah but do your homework, you go to a discount brand and eventually someone gets 'discounted' AKA you get what you pay for

I paid $3700 and did my homework, found a doctor in the game almost 20 years, Treated my eyes very well before surgery (lots of moisture drops, lots of sleep) dont be afraid people, youtube/internet made me super afraid and i almost didnt do it, don't let their fear mongering effect your desire for great vision, just do your homework

  • @krusha666 I agree. I spent £2900 here in the UK and had done my homework for months. I got a great result and it was worth every penny.

As a lawyer, I'd have expected her to be able to afford something better.

    It's sad, either way.

  • @krusha666 were did you go ?

  • @rjhgmail i went to iris in vancouver canada, their head doctor hugo sutton is in his own league, he was even part of the algorithmic technology used in the carl zeiss lasers that they use... one of the doctors i met there was -13.00 , -13.50 and he had the surgery done because he was confident in his team , it really is a different environment when you pick a professional place vs these bullshit oil change discount centers

  • poor woman.

  • lol 300 a eye

  • oh my god!

  • I was lasiked by dr. keon nia of lasikmd and have since had to take a yr away from work due to the pain and poor vision Ive had since the procedure. dont trust this doc or any other who wants to laser your eye, these guys are interested in making money and money only as far as Im concerned. no clue how ill go on with life.

  • @lasikruinedme instead of constantly bashing lasik on you tube why don't you just go shoot that fuking hindu bastard?

  • Being cheap can cost you BIG.

I'm sorry but people are stupid. Buy VALUE don't buy cheap. How many pennies can to pinch? Geezzz..

  • i swear some americans are just being tarded on purpose

IF SOMETHING LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT FUCKING IS

christ this is rule 1 of life

  • xD morons

  • What a stunned cunt. $600 for both eyes and you get $500 of free gas?! People actually go in for $100 eye surgery?! And she's suprised that there was a problem? They have a location at every street corner for fuck sakes!!! Unreal, it seems most Americans need brain transplants. Hey, maybe I'll start doing brain transplants for $50!!! ...and I'll throw in a free hooker, a hit of crack and some deisel fuel. I'm going to be rich! ...my eyes are still 20/20 after lasik 6 years ago btw

  • I'll agree with you but she didn't deserve to get her eye ball destroyed, the punishment doesn't fit the crime of being a cheap-ass

  • @colegedropoutyourmom hey, how much did your lasik cost? i just need an idea

  • @thequinton07 Just North of $3000 CAD seven years ago. Lets say $3200 CAD, which would be roughly $3100 USD at the time. Adjust that for inflation and it would be around $3700 USD in todays dollars.

  • @colegedropoutyourmom Right on man. I know exactly what you're talking about. It's 2.5 years later after my Lasik surgery, and my eyes are wonderful. I can see just fine. However, I had a really good doctor, and I paid around $3,000 for the entire surgery. I really think people shouldn't go to these fly-by-night Lasik surgeons. If they're going to have their eyes operated on, they need to do some research and realize that you get what you pay for. A good doctor is a must!

  • I just had my surgery a week ago and so far love it, but I also paid around 4000 and got no free gas but I can still see!

  • @lazymo2 Well, it's horrible to say, but after so long, you start to take your new eyesight for granted. I mean, I use to be blind as a bat, and after Lasik, I see everything perfectly. Once in awhile, I remember just how well my Lasik surgery went. I've heard a lot of nightmare stories, but I haven't suffered any of their fates. Lasik did me very good, and I'm very happy I had the surgery. As for yours, just remember to use the drops. I had to use drops from 6 months to a year and then stopped.

  • @blicksflicks just remember, the long term effects are unknown and 2 people I know who had it done, their eyesight started deterioating after 5 years again. its not a long term fix whatsoever, lasik damages the eye and doesn't guarantee long term correction. Expect complications down the road

  • seriously. "you get what you pay for" is such a basic life lesson. It's hard to pity anyone who doesn't take it to heart.

  • Comment removed

  • @colegedropoutyourmom You are a major douchebag.

  • @RPenta you must make the same types of decisions and are bitter about it. why else would you take up for this twit like that? stupidity.

  • @MeesterCrumpet No, dickhead i did not; but I have compassion for people, even educated people, who make a bad blunder. Maybe you and the multi-scumbags who infest the internet and post insensitive comments should try it sometime.

  • @colegedropoutyourmom She Really needed that gas!

  • @colegedropoutyourmom Damn strait, you get what you pay for.

  • @Verac1ty Not with Kathy Griffin- she payed royalties and look what happened.

  • Seriously look at that Lasik first commercial.. they had toooooo many centers therefore limiting the qualified surgeons in one single location and its too cheap!

  • I had LASIK a year ago, at 42 years of age, and have had NO complications and NO problems whatsoever. After 20 years of wearing glasses or contact lenses EVERY DAY, I never have to wear them again. It's great !

  • For your age it would make sense but not when u are still young cuz when u start to grow old u will need it again, and i dun think your eye can retake another lasik , it will be really risky :(

  • I am short sighted and i think that things happen in this world un intentionally some time so Laser i wanna do laser in any way and i will choose the most expensive clinic al though i don't have enough money but i will wait ..

  • Oh, FUCK. Who turned the dial up to kill?

  • you get what you pay for. I found it funny when they said she is a lawyer. Judging by her ilogical sense of thrift, especially when it comes to a person's eyes, I would never choose her to defend me in a case. Now, prosecution May be ok lol

  • I just had one myself today. My vision is still blurred but it feels ok. so I hope it wil be alight tomorrow.

Thing is, I had my package from a hospital, not some sort of chain service provider and it cost about 2500UD. NO way I would trust a Lasik at a price of US299

  • I just got LASIK a month ago now and everything is fine. The first day was rough and they suggest you sleep right after it's done. Try to get 4 hours sleep. It helps greatly. After 1 week, I noticed a significant difference in my vision, for the better. Driving is iffy though. Lots of halos but should go away. Also try to avoid HDTV.

  • LASEK is not FDA-approved and is just another risky, unnecessary eye surgery that is pushed on uninformed patients through unethical and deceptive advertising.

  • it is FDA approved.

  • No it's not.

  • balatant lie in your face. you are saying one million americans undergo this procedure every year which is not even fda approved?

the lawyers should pay you a visit for spreading balantly false facts .

  • well,there is always a way out

  • LASIK is a harmful, unnecessary procedure that is pushed on uninformed patients through deceptive marketing. Google "lasik complications" and visit my website to learn more.

  • That is why people should look into the more advanced, safer no-cut, no-flap LASEK procedure.

  • What do you have to say about situations where people can see clearly?

  • she said "holy shit"?
