I like how this shows that back around 1973 or so, the word "nerd" didn't have quite the same meaning it later took on, and was more of a general derogatory term, akin to "jerk."

great memories watching this while growing up in Red Bluff via cable........a bit of trivia the Raiders shirt that Humphrey has on was sent to the show by Sonny Barger ,head of the Hells Angels with a note that said "put this on the Dog" LOL

I can't wait for SFChronicle to put up "Bees," if at all possible. It went EXACTLY like this: H: Charley, a herd of bees is chasing me!......C: A HERD of bees?......H: You've heard of bees?......C: Yes... ......H: Well, a herd of 'em is chasin me!......

C: Well, what did you do to rile em up?

H: I didn't do NOTHIN! ...poked a stick in their hive, got some honey!
