On my first visit to The Barbican Centre back in September 2004 I had to go in the Guideline lifts because the stairs were actually closed off that day. I seem to recall there was a notice inside one of the lifts instructing users not to get out on one of the floors. Either that or it was one of the lifts that didn't serve all the levels.
There was an express lift at the end of London wall (on the underground roundabout - near London Wall NCP car park entrance). Goes up one level.
Used to do the lift intercoms in the low rise flats on that estate. Got into all the motor rooms (this was b4 digital cams could record). One of the motor rooms filled with smoke during one of our visits - we thought we had caused this!! -burnt out transformer, this is another story!
I like the speakers voice ;-)

Did you see anything like this?

@Meanmanmartin2007 As far as I can remember some of the lifts don't go to the top floors

British lifts seem to be more informational that American lifts. Most of ours are silent. That last one had lights around the door.
