yeah, why everyone hates her. Look at all the routines. She did excellent. Ask other gymnasts do the exact same thing. I bet most of them cannot. Balance and everything are hard........... I am proud of her, go girl go.........
I think the main reason is that with all of her big mistakes, she still manages to medal, which her critics attribute to overscoring. She doesn't complete many of her difficulties, which has been commented on already. In addition to that, I think the side-split balance at 0:21 was too unsteady to get credit.
i dont know either... maybe because she's beautiful and elegant... also maybe she's associated with viner maybe that's why they hate her... but me, whether or not she is associated with viner, the fact that this routine is good she deserves the high scores.
@edinou1989 She was a brillant girl. That's a fact. She has such a natural talent, beautiful flexibility. Her coach is the one to blame. Horrible coach. Kapra had everything to be as successful as Kanaeva, Bessonova, and others but she turned out to be a new Kabaeva, messy. A real shame IMO. She had fantastic abilities but Viner can't handle talent.
@muuhainaa None hate her. However, many people including me hate the fact that she was severely overscored and that she earned medal she did not deserve. Never on earth, she should have been a world champ over gymnasts like Tchiachina or Bessonova. Never on earth, she should have been that close to be on the podium in Beijing. She is a mess, nothing is clean or well executed. That's a fact. I don't mind her, I do mind what judges did to other gymnasts for HER.
Yea, I agree. I didn't like her so much when I first started watching RSG and saw her at the Patras Worlds in comparison to Bessonova. But even though she might be quite as artistic as Anna, she has a beautiful body and great flexibility and she's very dramatic. She's really grown on me and I absolutely love her clubs and hoop routine from this year. (Ribbon could use some work...)
Bravo, Olga!!! You and your self-appointed Rhythmic Majesty did succeeded in creating something original;the music of Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake' torn into pieces, then badly stitched together, your jerks, and feathery leotard are perfectly complementary.
KAPRANOVA STARRING IN 'DUCK PUDDLE'!!! (standing ovation)
At 0:54 she left the club lying there on the floor with no technical movement. That should count as 'static apparatus'. All she needs to do is send it on a tiny free roll with her foot before re-grasping it. That'd be enough.
And she's repeating the front split w/ help with 1/2 turn of trunk balance. It should not count the second time.
And the very first difficulty did not stay fixed throughout the slow turn.
I agree, she doesn't deserve the places that she gets. The russians write the same element twice (the half turn trunk balance) in two different ways. One as it is, and the second with slow turn, so she only needs to do a tiny jump with her toe in the middle of the balance. For me it's riddicullous, since those elements weren't counted until kabaeva started to perform them in order to get good scores. Hope that helped!!
What is it that she did wrong in this routine that makes people say so stupid things about her?

Why does everyone hate her so much? It's out of proportion. She is a good gymnast.
