@AimingForVegan They each have their pros and cons. Where I think RayV was a very good friend, and even teacher to Fraser, I don't view him in the same light as RayK. To me, RayV is the best friend, RayK is the boyfriend. They serve different purposes, both important. Even though I feel like I can personally connect more with RayK, but that is simply my own personal opinion.

@aliwhitwell I apologize for not giving the entire history of the song. I only included the artist who sang this version so that if someone watching my video liked the song, they could find it for themselves, so I wouldn't get hundreds of emails asking me who sang this song.

The music, and artists thereof, is not the point of this video. Lots of people cover old songs, if you don't like my choices, then you don't have to watch my video.

Although I favor Ray V over Ray K, I love this video. Tigerkity, the way you paired your chosen images with your chosen lyrics is brilliant and sweet....especially the "turn around" parts give me the CHILLS. Also, as in some other posts, I want to reiterate that we don't have to totally choose one Ray and not the other...Fraser chose them both in different ways and we can too.

@AimingForVegan Thank you for the kind comment. And I completely agree. The fandom is so divided, something I've never seen before, between the Rays. They're both a major part of the show, and they both are Fraser's friends. You don't have to choose between them. You don't have to pick sides.

This song is not "by" Emiliana Torrini. It's "by" Tom Waits. Torrini (along with hundreds, if not thousands of other artists) just covered it. And she didn't do a very good job.

I love this video, I used to be a huge Ray V fan until I watched a few episodes with Ray K, and since then I've been an advent lover of Ray K/Fraiser. This video makes me miss watching the show. You did a very good job.

@Rosinblackrose5 You can be a fan of both Rays! They both had their very positive moments, and they were both good friends to Fraser, although it took longer for RayK to be a good friend to him. Please - let's have no more "choosing a Ray" in the Due South fandom! You can acknowledge that they BOTH loved Fraser, although in different ways.

I'm personally sick of Ray V not getting the attention that he deserves just because fans start watching the latter seasons and discover Ray K.

Hey! I just started watching Due South and I absolutely love it so far. I've only seen one episode with RayK in it and that was Strange Bedfellows. I don't know, I love Vecchio alot! But I'm really looking forward to Kowalski from what little I've seen of him, and this video is honestly way amazing! Thanks very very much for posting it!

Choosing a Ray is just stupid in this fandom! Of course, you can have a favorite Ray V, but don't write off the other Ray and never watch his episodes. You're not a true dS fan if you ignore half of the show!

@NancyK97 As I said in a previous comment, I do like Ray V. I never stopped liking him, but Ray K has come to have a special place in my heart. I do like him better, I find him more an enjoyable and amusing character, and more relatable. I have seen every single episode of DS, and when I showed the series to my friends I started at the beginning. I agree that you cant discount half the show, but I'm not going to lie. Ray V is integral to the show, but I do like Ray K better.

@tigerkity I understand. I'm just the opposite. I can't relate to Ray K at all, but Ray V is very much like me, my spouse and my friends at times, which is probably why I like him better.

I just don't want to see Ray V disregarded by the fandom because more people like Ray K better, and that is happening - people forget about Ray V as soon as they see Ray K.:-( That makes me very sad. I hate dS turning into a Fraser/RayK slash fandom, but that's what it is becoming.
