I was wondering what you used to make the grass around the cake and also how did you make the sheep have a cream face, what colours or products did you use? thanks xx
This cake is excellent. you really have tallent!! I was wondering with the little cow, how did you get his head to stay the way it is? with my fondant animals they are mainly sitting up and i use either a strand of raw spaghetti or tooth pick to help the head hold up, but i would love to know how you got your animals standing and their head to stay that way, thank you xxx
@MrsCathyTaylor Thanks for your comment. I used a short piece of spaghettl and gently poked a hole in the back of the head before inserting the spaghetti into the body. It's good to dab the spaghetti with a little bit of water or sugar glue prior to insertion to help it stay in. Then dab a bit of water on the end that is sticking out of the body, as well as the fondant of the head and body that will make contact with each other and then place the head over the end of the spaghetti. A bit of ...
@MrsCathyTaylor ... scrunched up tissue or cling wrap can be placed under the head to support it while the fondant dries. For the legs, I only use small balls of fondant and shape them into stumpy legs, so the body actually touches the ground as well. hope that helps
@15152278 thankyou, that really does help. ill give it a go. one of my girlfriends loves cows so im going to put one ontop of her cake :) at the moment im doing a flower paste lily for a valentines day order and i've just painted it 3 colours with luster dust and it's come out beautiful, just the way i pictured it which is always a bonus. thanks again for your help and quick responce :)
@Polivy Hi there - sorry for not replying 8 months ago. Don't know what happened but I don't recall receiving your comment back then. I made the fondant sheep based on Mayen's video (search Mayen cakes, and you'll find her channel if you don't know it) - I just made the legs stumpy instead of long.
You know what I love about your work? It's the quality and the overall essence. Your cakes always look fresh and clean. This looks like it came out of a book. All the colors worked well together. I love how you added some red because it gave it a really nice touch. Keep it up.
Thanks Rylan. You're always so generous and encouraging with your comments (not just with my cakes, with everyone's), and have a great eye for detail :)

@MrsCathyTaylor I used a sugraft gun/extruder to make the grass, and I used Wilton copper gel colouring for the sheep's face.

I love the idea! The fence, tractor, grass, ladybugs and all of the animals! I really like the light green color for the grass:)
You do such neat and meticulous work on your cakes! They are such a joy to look at:)
I also liked your music at the end, where do you get it?
Thanks:)

Thanks! The music is from the imovie program for Macs (presumably the music is produced by Apple).
