i LOVE red pandas!!!!! when i was on my m=washington d.c. trip, me and of a couple of people went to the nantional zoo to see the red pandas...but they were not out yet...i think that was because it was too early. but i still love the red pandas cuz they are soooooooooooo cute. i REALLY want one and i want to huge them soooo badly, but i know they will run away from me..too bad.....

They're not closely related to pandas or to raccoons, or anything else living for that matter.
But take a second to research its location, its name translated into Chinese, foot habits, etc., and you'll figure out why it got its name.
