  • A Classic

  • @blackricanprinces Why would anyone see a Guy Richie film out of choice? You should try actually traveling to England sometime, you'd discover that many English people are well spoken and that we have different accents that are regional. You shouldn't respond to ignorance with more ignorance.

  • Hello there neighbor

  • Rodney Allen Rippy will be live on At Eye Level on BlogTalkRadio, January 2, 2012 at 3:00PM Pacific.

  • That was a burger back in the day. I don't know what kind of meat they used, but they were always big that's for sure.

  • Damn, that burger looks yummy!

  • Is it me or the guy interviewing Rodney "sounds" like a perverted child molester?

  • Those were so good back then, now they are a joke and don't even taste good.

  • Fuk u limey!!

  • FROM DA JAWK IN DA BOWX..Fucking americans can't even speak proper english.

  • @1988scottcarey Have you ever seen a Guy Ritchie movie? And those fuckers spawned the language.

  • I remember seeing the little guy on the American Music Awards would have been in the mid 70s. I think it was him and little jimmy osmond underneath the lectern.

  • Go to You Tube and Seach Rodney Allen Rippy You Can't Mess With Jack!!!

  • Rodney Allen Rippy Still Loves A Great Burger. Rumor has it Rodney Allen Rippy has created his own gourmet burger. We hope to see it added to the Jack In The Box Menu!

  • Check out my channel to see me on the news @ the jack I work at. Got the antenna ball tattoo. Now I got stewie griffin also. Leave comments

  • Actually Rodney is doing very well. He's a christian and just enjoying life. He's still handsome, well adjusted and he is very much still in touch with millions who love and admire him.

  • Great Video We Must All Think Of Self Protection....

  • That's right! Take that burger in, baby! TAKE IT ALL IN!!!

  • Jumbo jacks were great back then, the ones today are awful so I never go to jack in the box anymore.

  • @DBSpy1 You are not kidding! I went to a jack in the box down south and it was harrible! I have had microwave burgers in truck stops that tasted better!

  • great childhd memoriez.. love this..

  • It's too big-a-eat

  • Wow ! Gary Coleman as a tike.

  • @wtf66611 that's not gary coleman

  • Rodney Allen Rippy in prison??? Very bad information. Rodney is alive and well, living in L.A., having worked for MSNBC...and has taken to making personal appearences again....GET IT RIGHT!!!

  • i like girls with small hands b/c it makes my dick look bigger

  • Rodney Allen Rippy take a bow

  • it 2 biga-eat wtf

  • Rodney's in prison now.

  • I wish jack in the box would bring the old jumbo jack back...It was a real big burger now its just a hamberger...Everybody who wants the old jumbo jack back should e-mail jack in the box...I did.

  • 100% beef? i wonder what part of the cow eww!

  • @supremes1964 back then they actually did use real beef! It wasn't this stuff they make today. It also came from decent cuts of the cow...

  • jack in the crap is loaded with trans-fat ....they suck!

  • Jack-In-The-Box used to serve salsa with their tacos that had the unfortunate name of "Jack Sauce". Christ, the last thing I would want on my food is something called "Jack Sauce". Sounds like a reference to semen.

  • if you remeber rodney, youre old as fuck

  • I wish we had Jack n the Box in the midwest, well more anyway.

  • @EspioChaos PRRRRRRRDM TADADA, PRRRRRRDM TADADA-DADA

  • @EspioChaos well man what the hell all i got to say to you is I"MMA MOTHAFUCKIN GOAT WHO EATS HIS OWN MILK!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jaxblade07 oh and, by the way, welcome to let's do this everybody...

  • @EspioChaos I can appreciate that you guys support Spill and Let's Do This, but for fucks sake, don't spam the trucking page with that. It makes you just look like a bunch of trolls / 4channers.

  • @ResidenceOfEvil you already said fuck... why censor yourself by saying "trucking"? just a question... anyway, this is the first time i did something like this. Besides, no one's complained about it yet... well... until you did. What harm could a simple "let's do this" do? It'll just make people curious, or make people say "whaaaat?", and then they go on about their business... no harm no foul

  • All fast food had better taste and quality to it back in the 70s and 80s.When the food industry started creating GMO foods (Genetically Modified Organisms) trying to hybridize wheat, fruit, vegetables with gene splicing and make them disease, pest, mold resistant, then started pumping livestock with growth hormones, all food went to hell. Then also, add in down-sizing because of corporate greed. Fast Food has never been healthy, but today it really has become a Frankenstein nightmare concoction

  • @undergroundbasement You are so right. They feed our cattle some kind of corn crap that makes them fatter, something they were never meant, by evolution, to eat. This is why we often find beef with ecoli in it. If they were to let them eat grass again this wouldn't happen, and our burgers would taste great like they use to!!

  • ha ha i use to work at jack in the box and the buggers are way small now days

  • If JITB were a smart company, they would bring back this version of the Jumbo Jack. It had a unique flavor to it, very good. The tomato was prominent in the flavor as I recall. They could even bring back Rodney to reintroduce it. And the onion rings were better then!

  • Whatever happened to Rodney Allen Rippy? I guess he was another of chose child stars that faded into obscurity once puberty came along.

  • He was sooo, sooo cute. Love him.

  • Jack in the box SUCKS....its one on every block in texas...they need to go to Taco Bell to learn the definition of a taco...screw Jack in the box even my dog wouldn't eat it...and he eats EVERYTHING! YUCK!

  • That is huge!

  • "Rodney what?"

    "Rodney Allen Rippy, bitch!"

  • eating a jumbo jack right now lol

  • Check out the wonderful and incredibly talented actor RODNEY ALLEN RIPPY as my Dad in my music video on YouTube ... he's FABULOUS!!!!!! type in Betsy Hammer Hang Onto Your Dreams

  • Old school is the best!!!!

  • Damn, that burger was huge!

  • the jumbo jack used to be enourmous

  • I heard Rodney Allen Rippy is singing COUNNTRY MUSIC!!! NO LIE!!! I saw him perform at Cowboy Country in Long Beach. It was great!!!

  • Jumbo Jack gave me a diarrhea attack

  • @JP5466 Man, your comment was the best ever!!!

  • He was soooooo cute! (and still is)

    :)

  • I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I loved Different Strokes.

  • I hope he hosts a late night/variety show. That'd be awesome!

  • put sum fryed chicked with watermellon wid a side a koolaid ittl be gone then haha jkjkjk x] im blak im aloud to say it haha

  • Com'on Ya'll everyone Remember this Classic..

  • Bah! Wheat and Rye in Michigan has the best and biggest burgers, bar none! ^_^

  • that guy sounds like a pedafile lol!

  • What you talkim bout willis? This reminds me of monkeys in south america. They climb the tallest trees and pick the sweetest fruit. They take one bite out, and toss the rest to the ground. That may seem cavalier, but it's the way of the jungle--if it didn't happen, the ground dwelling animals wouldn't eat at all. I wonder who ate the rest of that jumbo jack, that's all.

  • DisKreet1--my organs are bigger than yours, and negro organs are even bigger than mine.

  • Somehow I just knew when I saw Rodney Allen Rippy's picture on the vid clip that there would be at least 1 comment that had to be racial, Thank gosh for posts like DisKreet1's below....Rodney was and will always be an icon of better times...no matter what anyone thinks...

  • burgers were actually a decent size... now they're all little and ish =(

  • @leanaway

McDonald's got hit by that disease the worst!

  • omg yes!!!!! i remeber back in the day (90's) their big mac was a BIG MAC lol.... now it's a whatever mac lol..... they're tryna come back w/their anus burgers but o well... i'm guessing since that bogus lawsuit against them (for "making" that person overweight) they probably had no choice... Jack N The Crack (Box lol) have the big burgers now.... but a chain here in Texas called "Whataburger" can't be beat!!

  • and checkers have BIG A$S burgers lol

  • @leanaway

But hey, at least they have ALWAYS been that size!

  • agreed lol

  • @leanaway yeah because they are all greedy and just wanna make money :(

  • @leanaway wow you really are gullible, going by an advertisement rofl, i doubt you even lived back then so you don't know 'ish'

  • @johnny4463435 oh ok

  • Ah the power of unity. It amazes me how the internet brings about such boldness. When white ppl are attacked, the majority pop in to defend. when blacks, its the same thing, Asians, we come in kung fu style. Its amazing that the only things that differentiates us is our skin color, and culture, but if i am right, i think we all have the same blood, organs, and whatever else that makes us operational. Sad that after all these tribulations, we still fail to recognize that fact.

  • My blood and organs are superior to yours.

  • christ...that sandwich is bigger than that kids head

  • All this fighting...from an old commercial? Why don't you all go cage fight or something-it's really not worth it.

  • jack in the box has never been the same since they removed the clowns from the drive thru and no longer using rodney allen ripley in their tv ads [kangaroo meat and food poisoning]

  • you dumb cunt, Kangaroo Meat is one of the most low fat meats you could imagine, it certainally aint what you fat arsed fucks are eating

  • This is a pretty heavy topic linked to, what was a cute & funny ad from the early/mid 1970's. What gives? When did everyone become so f-ing delicate?

  • You are a fool monkey boy. Too bad you are not in Haiti, with your "beautiful black brothers and sisters."

  • 1.your ratarded

2.mainly caus of waht you said

    3.stfu

4.blaim it on them not us

realy waht the hell wer you smokeing when you typed your comment? infact i'm mostly native american

  • Learn how to use spell check, you ignorant honky indian bastard. It's one of the few tools invented by yt that doesn't actually oppress negroes like myself. "your ratarded." What the hell does that mean, Tonto? I imagine yt didn't teach your reservation living ass that an apostrophe is appropriate when using a contraction. Guess the lone ranger didn't beat that rule into your brown ass. Are you insinuating that I'm a "rat" somehow? "ratarded?" Make use of your fourth grade education.

  • @TheMilitantblackman:

If you hate whitey so much, go live in the fucking Congo or something.

  • @TheMilitantblackman wat are we talking about?

  • I don't know what meat incident you guys are talking about but I remember the state health inspectors told them about some problem meat and advise them to turn the grill up to 350 to kill the bacterial. They didn't do it and a kid died and lots of people got vary sick.

  • in the 70.s there was a rumor that rodney had died.we didnt have info at the tip of our fingers, n it was years b4 we found out that it wasnt true, i remember i cried so hard my mom screamed at me to shut up after awhile, she said u dont even know him lol now i think its funny

  • :O umm...is it ok if i eat the jumbo jack nowadays? realy reply caus i have been thinking of trying it

Is it safe to eat now?

  • After the dead kid incident its probably the safest burger to eat. They test all there meat that there buying before shipping it out to there restaurants.

  • I was reading comments here, I lived in San Diego in 1980 when the meat incident happen, it was Horse meat.

I remember there was a joke about the Jumbo jack and Del Mar race track.

I dont remember Kangaroo being used, I heard rumer but it was Horse that made the track.

  • i remember back then there was a rumor that they were using kangaroo meat for thier burgers.

  • It wasn't a rumor. The story was on radio and TV here in Southern California. An Australian company was selling frozen meat to several fast food restaurant chains, but it turned out to be kangaroo instead of beef. Only Jack-In-The-Box was identified as receiving that kangaroo meat, but others were using it as well. There was no health risk, so the restaurants just used up whatever kangaroo was left over.

  • I forgot to add that McDonald's changed their ads to say they used 100% American beef after the kangaroo incident. They still claim to use 100% beef, but no one knows for sure what part of the cow it comes from!

  • rofl 100% beef.. u ever eaten a fukin mcdonalds burger?!! i try not to look at it while i eat it... god knows whats fukin in there!

  • really? i remember as a kid back then the meat was a orange red color inside. that explanes my uncontrolable urge to stuff items down the front of my pants and listen to olivia newton john.

  • Good one! LOL

  • hahah

  • I miss Jack n the Box what an awesum fast food joint that caters for the adult taste not the shit that McDonalds or Carls Jnr serve.

  • miss it?!?!! where u live? We still have'em here

  • With a mouth like Bubba's he could finish the whole thing in one bite!

  • I saw this dude [Rodney that is] on E!'s 50 Cutest Child Stars All Grown Up. Now, he doesn't have the afro, but now has a beard.

  • Was that necessary? GX?

  • You win calling a kid nigglette. Going off on a 35 year commercial, out of the blue. You win. You are hands down the most ridiculous fool in all the internet. Be proud that's quite a feat. Fool

  • Comment removed

  • @BearStar1 :

    yeah, double standards abound.

    don't forget "nigra."

  • I remember this from when i was a kid. I thought he was cool. Lol. I wanted to be that cool. XD

  • Holy S*@t I haven't thought about Rodney Allen Rippey in over thirty years! Everyone knew him though.

  • Jumbo Jack are so good

  • Classic Commercial. Iremember it well. Thanks for the upload!

  • Were they really that big before?

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this commercial very well!

  • The Bonus Jack was so much better!

  • I think he should do a commercial with Jack for Kicks, and Old Times Sake. I think it would be SO DAM COOL..

    Maybe a SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL..

Nah, that would be TO COOL..

    Man that brings back memories

  • I remember there was a false rumor going around about him being dead.

    This was before the internet

  • Many burger chains are trying to save money by making the burgers smaller.

  • And saving lives by not making people as fat.

  • classic.

  • well if you've had her for 19 years, Id say its high time you bought a new inflatable doll

  • i am drunk as shit eating one right now and they are not that big....i wish they were

  • I like that commercial, it's cute :)

  • Who's the creepy pedo doing the voice?

  • In Blazing Saddles, he played a young Bart (with parents) bringing up the rear of the wagon train heading West. When Indians attacked the wagon train, they weren't allowed to "circle the wagons" with the white folk, so they circled their own wagon. His only line: "Thank you."

  • yo ur RIGHT he was I 4got all about that...hillarious..he was in the odd couple ..bought oscars building

  • Rodney hwat? :p

  • He in Blazing Saddle, too.

  • as who/where ? b.s is 1 of my all time favs

  • He's the little boy in the covered wagon that is attacked by Indians. Mel Brooks as the chief says, "Schvartzers! Dey's darker den us!"

  • i remember this commercial and i liked the life cereal commercial with mikey

  • smaller burgers now, but i still love their tacos!

  • no. I worked at a Jack-in-the-Box , in-1976. just ordered a Jumbo Jack , recently. They are much-smaller. They were originally a "Quarter-Pounder" ... seems like the Patty is Half-That , now.

  • JB's large beef patty today is one-fifth of a pound. On the same-size bun, it seems even smaller.

  • its like a fucking porno...lololol

  • CLASSIC OLD SCHOOL COMMERCIAL.

  • This Burger was along the lines with the Big Mac,Gino Giant, and Whopper!!

  • He was on of the first like-able and loveable children of television.Way before the Rotten Gary Coleman.

  • damn that burger looks like its on steroids!!! it looks huge!!!

  • Are they still that big, or was Rodney still small (obviously he was, but, you know.)?

  • These were the good 'ol days when they still

had that monstrous clown head on top of

the Jack in the box signs!

  • It's weird to think that I'm the same age as Rodney, 40, and that I remember this.

  • Rodney is one of the sweetest, sincere, thoughtful, and most unpretentious people I have ever known! He was discovered at JTB trying to eat

a Jumbo Jack from waht I understand!

  • Are you sure this was his first JItB commercial? I thought the first one was when he sang the "Take Life A Little Easier" song. (I have the 45 single.) That's why the announcer in this commercial says, "Haven't I seen you on TV before?".

  • Has anyone got that one, with "Take Life a Little Easier" song?

I'd like some trivia on that. I think I recall Rodney was in a contest for who would get to sing that, and he went on Johnny carson, a big publicity tour, and such.

  • Rodney was born to do great things! I'm so glad to call him my friend. -

    Mancuso Martin Entertainment-

    G. Martin

  • Oh, good, see my question, then--Did he get the commercial gig via a talent contest? And can you upload the one with the song? Where can we read more trivia on him and his Jack career?

  • Rodney is one of the coolest, funniest, most talented, straight-up people I have ever had the pleasure to know. His charm came across in this commercial and it still shines!
