  • this is pretty scary for a Disney Movie

  • How stupid are those kids, ignoring all those warning signs?

  • these trees had a way of scarying me when I was a kid

  • Thanks for the lyrics!

  • I guess the Forest of Hilarious Creepshow Singing Foam Logs just didn't have the right ring to it.

    Love this so hard.

  • @toonbat There's one particular one there - if you watch the eyebrows carefully they tend to go every which way but up above the eyes.

  • 2;53 Trees: (actually me, in a rough and deep voice) "Ah, screw it. We just wanted to sing the damn song so bad because it's our favorite song in this movie. Maybe will sing it to Simon Cowell when he gets lost in this forest."

  • wow this film came out 1961 the same time the beatles we're doing their cavern club

  • holy shit I've been looking for this for like 15 years now. I knew as a kid I was kinda freaked out when I saw trees attacking people, but nobody knew what movie i was talking about. I always thought it was Babes In Toyland too but didn't see anything about the Forest of No Return. thank god i finally get to see this again

  • I don't have enough coffee

  • I can remember seeing this when I was in first or second grade, though we only saw the beginning. I'm sure that this part would've scared the crap out of me if I had seen this the whole way through when I was younger.

  • Considering all of the Keep Out signs were facing the TREES, not the KIDS, one must wonder exactly what's really going on here...

  • I saw this when I was a young boy, and had nightmares

  • What if this actually happened in real life?

  • this is def. my fav. part of the movie

the set and costumes are just amazing

    better then than now

  • Best film ever!

  • Wow...when I was little this scared me worse than the Wicked Witch in OZ (considering the actor who played the scarcrow was THE bad guy in the film)

  • talking trees XD

  • Wow!!! I just thought of this movie and there you have my favorite part Thank You!!!

  • those kids got pwned

  • I can't get out eh?... *Pulls out a chainsaw* (i could use some new tables) > :) MUHAHAHAHAAA! .. problem solved.

Thats how i got over my fears of talking trees as a child... that and watching pocahontas..LOL xD

  • lol no gets my torch out burn them ^_^ but then smokey would get mad ^_^ XD

  • No It's SCary ANd Horror.

  • i had night mears about this as a child lol

the guy that lives in the bowling ball

    creepy

  • They never did find those sheep, did they.

  • they probably did, just not onscreen apparently

  • @kerplop ---I rented the DVD recently. I do not think that they ever found the sheep either.

  • @kerplop No, the sheep fell into a plothole.

  • @kerplop they find the sheep. At the end where Tom and Mary go off in their sleigh, look for the characters Gonzorgo and Rodrigo, they're petting the sheep during the finale. I went to a screening of this movie at Disney Studios, so that's how I know :-)

  • i vaguely remember this song, thank you so much for putting this scene up, it would pop into my head a couple of times and i would try to figure out why the talking trees looked so familiar.

  • golden stuff.

  • I'm always wondering how can the men in the tree costumes see?

  • Answer: Not well.

  • it's scary not funny.

  • I won't call it scary I would call it... Strange..., and wrong :P

  • That's gotta the Mellomen as the singing voices for the trees, with Candy Candido joining!

  • yeah, cuz i hear a bit of Thurl in one of them

  • That's right!

  • OMG! i remember this scene! i remember this movie too!!!

  • Dedicated to the Bushes? Come on, a vid like this is supposed to be dedicated to Thurl Ravenscroft. :P

  • Hmmm...I was just surmising that this song was imprinted into Dubya's lifescript, hence his penchant for going places he shouldn't go...;-)

  • Oh God! This idiocy looks like it was filmed inside of

one of attractions at Disneyland..it looks phoney!

  • Sir, this "idiocy" is sacred DISNEY fare; from the magical world of Walt Disney. How dare you blaspheme his holy name! Of course it looks like a Disneyland ride, it's meant to!

  • actually, its supposed to look like a stage show, hence the curtains in the beginning of the film

  • If you watch the ending of the movie, you can see that Tom and Mary invited the scary singing trees to their wedding! :-)

  • I noticed! Maybe they've changed!

  • The children in the scene include Ann Jillian and Kevin Corcoran.

  • MAN, I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV BABES in TOYLAND. This movie will live in my heart forever.

  • can you put the whole movie on?? i love this movie!

  • Me too. Admit it, Barnaby's 'cruelness' is just the beginning. Later, the real fun begins.

  • I know! I wish SOMEONE would put up the whole movie! This classic puts a smile on my face!

  • There's no doubt that the trees' singing voices were done by the Mellomen!

  • I remember visiting the Anaheim,Calif. DISNEYLAND, after the film came out, where one could go into the "Babes in Toyland" display on Main Street, and actually get to TOUCH those trees, set there from the movie props; which were made out of some kind of latex something. Creepy, for a little kid ; exciting, like Disneyland has always been for kids.

  • when was this?

  • In 1956-57, the park first opened in Anaheim. Most Disney films had an attraction at the park.

  • @kfspiano the park opened in 1955 learn your disney history

  • @TBlueJaysfan You're right! I spent the day of my sixth birthday there (and the succeeding birthdays for a number of years of my childhood), so that would put it at 1955.
