How did a blind person who didn't play the guitar know so intrinsically the kind of music that is both difficult and playable while being gorgeous and perfectly idiomatic to the guitar? Then Marcin plays it and it's the perfect storm.
from Jose Sepulveda, the Hermeterec.......My dear vorpal12351, I respectfully submit that either you are being facetious or you were listening to some other performance on Youtube and there was an incidence of cross-talk which displayed some other performance somehow accompanying this visual offering. It goes without saying that you were very obviously not HEARING the same performance I was hearing, no, that were impossible. I hope you have the opportunity to hear the actual performance soon.
Man! How can we argue with comments on the same web page containing this awesome performance? Is this CommentTube? No. It's YOUTube! Form your own opinions and display them here, don't destruct other's opinions in the process.
@Zodiacancerului Nah, believe it or not, some people have different tastes. Some people also have shitty tastes, that explains why you don't think it's boring. You're shit.
@6six6strings My taste is quality ! this is quality ! Let me see if I understood corectly. If you say so, this means you think also that Marcin has "shitty tastes" and that he is shit in choosing this piece, right? poor you...
@6six6strings hehe, man... you see.....people always say "boring" and "stupid" when they don't comprehend something. Same thing with mathematics, physics, chemistry and music. You just have to grow up and work hard to be able to understand them. So try hard and grow up. :-) Until then, shut up.
incredible technique Marcin ! You absolutely deserved the GFA. Hope you will continue to have your original personality through music and shoe's color ;-)
i caught marcin in orange county for 7 bucks! It was the best seven bucks i've spent in years! This guy is on some other level and just a polished performer and musician.
Bravo, I saw Marcin Dylla in Sarasota Fl. 3/21/09. His playing was incredible. Flawless technique and a very high order of musicanship. I. M.O Marcin is one the heir's to the future the Classical Guitar. P.S "Marcin record more C.D'S soon" bobwebbmusic
Panie Marcinie, życze wielkich sukcesów artystycznych, na które w pełni Pan zasługuje. Panskie interpretacje daleko wykraczaja poza powszechnie przyjete standardy wkonawcze literatury gitarowej. 1st met Marcin here in Buffalo NY when he returned the following year after winning the Faletta competiton and coming to play with the Buffalo Phil. He did a special pre-concert at WNED studios in honor of the Polish Festival .Got a nice pic with him. Very nice person. Looking forward to his return here on October 25 for a concert.
where do all these relatively young players get the cash for guitars that cost more than most peoples cars? they cant possibly work 40 hrs a week at a regular job and get this good. can they?
When you're winning competitions and playing concerts all over world as Marcin Dylla is, luthiers want you to play their instruments and will make it work for you. Also, Teryks' guitars aren't exorbitantly expensive relative to others. . .
I don't know what you mean by "all these... young players". Well most of them have at least a middle class background so their parents afford them guitar lessons and a guitar from an early age, although not as strict on age as in violin or piano. Plenty of good players (idk about dylla) start in their teens. But you can get good on an o.k. guitar that costs less than 2k, and then get a loan or a sponsor. your right money is slim in the CG world. I would know!
there are some asolutely magic moments there and hes a grunge dude , cool , i like the sound and interpretation, where do i fins info about the guitar
Wow, that was very impressive!!! What a great player. Great technique, and he put so much feeling into it, and it shows. Watching someone like this is very inspiring. When you watch someone play and then you want to run and pick up your guitar and practice, then you know that you watched and listened to someone special. Great job!!

This sounds amazing in red cedar, but I think he prefers spruce. Nothing compares to the warm sound of cedar tops.
