  • This sounds amazing in red cedar, but I think he prefers spruce. Nothing compares to the warm sound of cedar tops.

  • 4:14 Wow.

  • I believe the true essence of this piece is lost due too narcissism!!!!!!!

  • @31041955 By whom????

  • It saddens me when the most liked comments on youtube are grammatically incorrect.

  • Are Marcin Dylla words during playing available on transcript yet?

  • How did a blind person who didn't play the guitar know so intrinsically the kind of music that is both difficult and playable while being gorgeous and perfectly idiomatic to the guitar? Then Marcin plays it and it's the perfect storm.

  • la mejor interpretacion que he visto de este tema..!!!! felicitaciones desde argentina!!

  • very emotion

  • from Jose Sepulveda, the Hermeterec.......My dear vorpal12351, I respectfully submit that either you are being facetious or you were listening to some other performance on Youtube and there was an incidence of cross-talk which displayed some other performance somehow accompanying this visual offering. It goes without saying that you were very obviously not HEARING the same performance I was hearing, no, that were impossible. I hope you have the opportunity to hear the actual performance soon.

  • awesome guitar

  • Great song, saw him play it live

  • Voilà un grand guitariste, musicien et virtuose! Il ne peut pas laisser indifférent!

Belle enregistrement le son est magnifique!

  • There''s no emotion in this. The tonicity of the piece is very flat.

  • @vorpal12351

In all honesty i think you are just having some trouble feeling it :)

    Because i definitly feel it!

  • Man! How can we argue with comments on the same web page containing this awesome performance? Is this CommentTube? No. It's YOUTube! Form your own opinions and display them here, don't destruct other's opinions in the process.

  • masterpiece

    mistrz wśród mistrzów

  • who built this guitar?

  • Fantástico Marcin.

  • Obviously very talented, boring music though.

  • @6six6strings you're joking? Junto al Generalife, Rodrigo? Boring? you're sick in your head?

  • @Zodiacancerului Nah, believe it or not, some people have different tastes. Some people also have shitty tastes, that explains why you don't think it's boring. You're shit.

  • @6six6strings My taste is quality ! this is quality ! Let me see if I understood corectly. If you say so, this means you think also that Marcin has "shitty tastes" and that he is shit in choosing this piece, right? poor you...

  • @6six6strings hehe, man... you see.....people always say "boring" and "stupid" when they don't comprehend something. Same thing with mathematics, physics, chemistry and music. You just have to grow up and work hard to be able to understand them. So try hard and grow up. :-) Until then, shut up.

  • @Hyrulean112

    Amen to that!

  • incredible technique Marcin ! You absolutely deserved the GFA. Hope you will continue to have your original personality through music and shoe's color ;-)

  • Holy Wow.... Unbelievable. Gorgeous..

  • im quickly naming this man as my idol as a classical guitarist. such a fluent and incredible player.

  • Perfect tone.

  • the best 4 minutes and 49 seconds of my day. awesome performance

  • Si simple, sans allures, pensive et tout de même pleine d'imagination - voilà l'interprétation charmante de cette pièce. On ne peut pas faire mieux.

  • Thank You Uploader goodjob :-)

  • genius

  • You should bring Marcin in to record rodrigo volume 2! that would be so awesome!!

  • Can you tell us a little about the instrument you are playing?

    Type of construction. Maker?

It sounds very sweet and still has a nice growl.

  • @bachiano1 Boguslaw Teryks Double Top Cedar

  • @ILikeClassicalGuitar Actually that was one made with a sequoya (redwood) top. Just wanted to let you know. Cheers.

  • @ILikeClassicalGuitar Actually he told me that it was made with a sequoya (redwood) top. Just wanted to let you know. Cheers.

  • I've met Marcin at the West Dean Guitar Festival- had a masterclass with him. Brilliant guitarist.

  • i keep coming back to watch this video again

  • i caught marcin in orange county for 7 bucks! It was the best seven bucks i've spent in years! This guy is on some other level and just a polished performer and musician.

  • I loved the way he played with the speed of the tremolo...That indicated his level of virtuosity...

***** Full marks for perfection and interpretation. I have added him to my favourites!!

  • That was confident..

  • Bravo, I saw Marcin Dylla in Sarasota Fl. 3/21/09. His playing was incredible. Flawless technique and a very high order of musicanship. I. M.O Marcin is one the heir's to the future the Classical Guitar. P.S "Marcin record more C.D'S soon" bobwebbmusic

  • did he play the ponce sonata and music of memory in the first half? pretty incredible stuff

  • amazing, so beautiful. Tremendous control over tremolo

  • ya trick is to do it SLOWER, everyone speeds their tremolo so fast it gets sloppy, i like it better like this. clear

  • Panie Marcinie, życze wielkich sukcesów artystycznych, na które w pełni Pan zasługuje. Panskie interpretacje daleko wykraczaja poza powszechnie przyjete standardy wkonawcze literatury gitarowej. A tego najbardziej nam potrzeba - skruszenia panującej skamieliny wykonawczej! Życze muzycznej odwagi i motywacji do pracy. Czekam na pański występ w Gdańsku 24 kwietnia 2009. Serdecznie pozdrawiam.

  • Amazing! One of the most expressive guitarists I ever heard. Perfect dynamics!

    Who makes his guitar?

  • Boguslaw Teryks

  • fucking brilliant

  • holy shit. that's all I can say. By the way check out his shoes lmao he's such a rocker.

  • What magnificent playing! He has everything, tone, technique, and astounding interpretation. Wow....

  • this is just awesome...

  • He is talented, that's why he started at 7 years old. He's not talented because he started at 7y old.

  • he is talented. he started at 7 year old.

ok? one is not correlated to the other.

  • absolut amazing..thiats mean music....!!!!

does anybody now what cind of GUITAR he plays..?????

    all respect for his interpretation...

  • He plays on guitar by Boguslaw Teryks

  • @karol92ol dokładnie ;))

  • Great playing I have tons of classical guitar videos on my site if anyone is interested.

  • this guy came to my school (san jose,California) and played for my guitar class. it was awesome!

  • the most poetic and deep guitarrist with melancolic sound even for contemporary music very creative and great imagination.

  • Magnífica interpretación. Yo vivo junto al Generalife. Enhorabuena.

  • This guy came to my guitar one class in high school today and it was the most incredible thing I've ever seen live.

He performed like four feet in front of me.

It was amazing. I don't think the other students appreciated it as much, though...

  • same here

  • hermoso!!!!!!!!

  • The fine guitarist and the musician!

  • I want to cry when i am listenig it....

the best perform of this song:-)

    my honor do Dylla

  • This is a state of the art perfomance, rodrigo would be proud!

  • Unbelievable!!!! IF ONLY he visit Spain someday.

  • 1st met Marcin here in Buffalo NY when he returned the following year after winning the Faletta competiton and coming to play with the Buffalo Phil. He did a special pre-concert at WNED studios in honor of the Polish Festival .Got a nice pic with him. Very nice person. Looking forward to his return here on October 25 for a concert.

  • it cant be played better ffs :o

  • saw him in concert last night, he played this, it was epic

  • where do all these relatively young players get the cash for guitars that cost more than most peoples cars? they cant possibly work 40 hrs a week at a regular job and get this good. can they?

  • His JOB is to play guitar. thats all

  • When you're winning competitions and playing concerts all over world as Marcin Dylla is, luthiers want you to play their instruments and will make it work for you. Also, Teryks' guitars aren't exorbitantly expensive relative to others. . .

  • I don't know what you mean by "all these... young players". Well most of them have at least a middle class background so their parents afford them guitar lessons and a guitar from an early age, although not as strict on age as in violin or piano. Plenty of good players (idk about dylla) start in their teens. But you can get good on an o.k. guitar that costs less than 2k, and then get a loan or a sponsor. your right money is slim in the CG world. I would know!

  • He started when he was seven years old.

  • Maestro, chyle czola...

  • i like his shoes too ;)

  • there are some asolutely magic moments there and hes a grunge dude , cool , i like the sound and interpretation, where do i fins info about the guitar

  • Haha right on, he looks alot like Kurt Cobain in person, I just played in his masterclass.

  • nothing, mistake of edit. the sound it's ok

  • Hm, What about 2.32-2.33...? :/

  • Yeah, what was that?

  • Absolutamente magistral

  • I'm so glad he won the GFA. He's so good.

  • This is simply magical playing!

So many subtleties and so much beauty. Thank you for posting this!

  • "Junto al Generalife" by Joaquin Rodrigo

  • Someone Knows the name of this beautifull song? Thanks

  • When he plays everything looks easy.

  • Fantastic!

I can feel the breeze of Generalife gardens on my face... Marcin is a magician with the guitar!

  • beautiful!

  • Marcin Dylla is an AWESOME guitarist!

  • Wow, that was very impressive!!! What a great player. Great technique, and he put so much feeling into it, and it shows. Watching someone like this is very inspiring. When you watch someone play and then you want to run and pick up your guitar and practice, then you know that you watched and listened to someone special. Great job!!

  • It's really a great interpretacion!!!!

Marcin is a great musician, has everything

  • Wow~ the way classical guitar should sound~!

  • Wow; very expressive.

Look at his right hand kiddies; this is how you play!

Relaxed technique and moves a lot for tonal change. So many YouTube guitarists just don't get this.

Nice to discover another great player.

  • POLSKA!!!!BIAŁO-CZERWONY

  • holy hell. Technique totally in service to the music, as it should be. It's really inspiring. Thanks for posting a video with good sound and vid quality.

Truly outstanding playing and musicianship though..

  • Amazing...

  • Marcin is a poet of the guitar, very special artistry and musicality, the stage presence is awesome too. I will try to book him to play at the William Carey University where I teach.

  • I saw him win the 2007 GFA competition. Most impressive.

  • thank u for your comment, well perhaps you might need to listen to great Violinist, singers or pianist to hear how they make the instrument sing. Then after couple of years maybe your ears will open up to hear the nuances and feelings that Marcin extracts from any piece of music with coherence of sound and articulation. Our problem as guitarists is that we are fascinated with technique at the moment.

    Best,

    Music Lover

  • This a very good player, his sounf is clean and he has special feeling to spanish music

  • Thanks for the information guys...

  • Hello Kraft family, do tou know which guitar is Marcin using here?

  • He is still using a Teryks guitar, though this time it's a cedar top.

  • sequoia wood

  • It's actually sequoia wood, which is stiffer

  • I am the first to write a comment!! Love it Love it thank you for putting this up!
