I don't like how he always refers to Buddhists as men as though women aren't worthy to be practitioners. He does this in the Four Noble Truths video too.
he wrote about taboos too - but he didn't seem to care much for them. His use of nigger, in this talk, was correct, which is to say, it was a perfect example on incorrect use of words , just as he intended it :)
@138youandme I don't think Buddhism 'allows' having as many wives as you like in quite the same way as some other religions, but it doesn't specifically oppose it which is quite different. Buddhism is about spiritual development, though I can't imagine any right minded Buddhist going down that road to enlightenment.
@BestPiperonMars I'm sure he wasn't. But then again, what constitutes being awakened? According to Osho you can count the awakened through history on one hand.... But the fact is that everybody is awakened. They're just not aware of it. Some are more aware than others. Being towards the high end of awareness (that is, being selfaware enough) can probably be labeled awakened. So in that way, he is...

@Neyowolf Oh, how'd you get that impression? I don't think that's true.
But tbh I don't think drinking excessivly is neccesarily foolish. It all depends on the circumstances.

@holm81 Those are words from Alan Watts ^__^
Neyowolf 9 months ago
@Neyowolf Ok... But do you think they're true? I don't. Look around the world. Fools die fools every day and always has.

@holm81 Yes I think those words are true. That is how a guru teaches his students. By giving them a fools errand.

wonderful - nothing is wrong when it is a celebration of life but all is wrong when things are used as compensation for unhappiness and negativity.
