If aquaponics is going to be used then they'll have to use azolla to fix nitrogen into the water and water hyacinths to prevent water eutrophication after using the water to raise fish like tilapia. Any agricultural wastes is fed to the fish and the fish produces wastes which in turn is filtered by the azolla and water hyacinths and the remaining nutrients is used by the plants. But I would try mixing rock dusts powders which is water soluble in powdered form to increase it's fertility & potency
Why don't you use the original Wolcrow non-circulating hydroponic method, the simpler gravel and rock dust Bengal system, or the ultra-reliable Mittleider method. Especially the Mittleider method that uses an artificial soil mixture of peat and sand or saw dust and sand. Then rock dust powders mixed with powdered charcoal is added with 1% inoculated compost inoculated with 1% peat containing natural genetic strains of nitrogen-fixing rhizobial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi.
The nitrogen-fixing rhizobial bacteria will fix free nitrogen fertilizer from the air and the mycorrhizal fungi will improve plant nutrient sharing and intake allowing higher plant population density for a given space. The rock dusts powders mixed with charcoal powder will increase yields by 880% and the inoculants will increase yields by 16 times. They will have to redesign and re-engineer the system to compensate for the higher weight load of the Mittleider hydroponics systems.
I've been watching Valcent for about 2-3 years now. I know it's just a matter of time before this becomes big. Paul, I think you guys already have a first order from a zoo in the UK, no? I can't believe more people aren't looking into these systems as a partial answer to the food shortage plights that exist in the world.
i need to invest in this, i never liked farming in soil in the first place, because we are destroying the soil, with all of the chemicals that we are putting into it!
@proverb311031 do you understand that you do not need to use their chemicals. the plant material itself is nutrients. and then there is animal fertilizer. as long as the animals are eating vegetables and greens, grains. do not be fooled. they are only trying to sell you more products. you have to understand the dirt you are using to know what needs to be added

I wish best of luck with your system. THis is the type of blue sky thinking that our planet needs.
