Mr Do was the original, it was released in 1982. The author of Mr EE credits Mr Do as his inspiration in this interview: (Google for Mr EE BBC, first result).
I had this!!! Brilliant to see it again. I doubt I've heard that music in what... twenty years or more... but instantly, I recognised it. Thanks a million!
best game on CPC. first time i hear about this Mr-Ee you say. it had AI on the monsters? sounds stupid to me. one reason fruity frank was so much fun was that the mobs were totally unpredictable.
ha le 6128 terrible !!!!!!!!!,et puis on pouvait faire des petits programmes en basics en recopiant le livre livre avec la michine ..que de temps passe ^^
First of all, Mr. Ee is a rip-off of Mr. Do, the arcade game, and Fruity Frank is superior to both games in every single aspect. And believe me, I love them all. I've been playing these games again and again and again since 1986 or so.
Wow i used to love this game! So did my dad! I wonder if i can get it for him somehow? You must be able to get it on the PC somehow without being a computer wiz!
I remember that this game was very popular among Amstrad users ( i guess it was because of its great gameplay and good arcade-style graphics )... It was one of my favorites too.
That's not all. Fruity Frank at least has some notable differences, whereas Mr Ee is a virtual carbon-copy of Mr Do; characters, music, gameplay, EVERYTHING!
Don't get me wrong; Mr Ee is a fantastic Beeb version of Mr Do, but in the absence of a licensing deal it's a wonder they never got sued. Or did they?

This looks like a 8-bit clone of Mr. Do - Cherries, apples, and monsters.

In fact is a rip off of the arcade game "Mr. Do!", so that bbc game you said is also a rip off.

If you have any doubts, search youtube for the original arcade version of Mr Do (not the conversions), and for Mr Ee. It's lawsuit-tastic! :)
