This is the absolute truth. Well, for me, that is. My mother is a Methodist (which I'm baptised as) and my father's a Catholic. You should've seen the faces when my relatives over in Ireland were told he had married a Protestant! I wish I had(wasn't born yet).
I love that Tune! i have the version by the Dubliners on a CD i recently purchased! Good sound guys, i'd love to hear you in person! come to georgestreet!!!
great! i have heard this live here in Ireland, in a dark dirty bar which no-one had left in 3 days and was just mad craic!! shame about the crowd there :(
Ya thanks for the comment, we enjoy playing that tune. In regards to the crowd, it was family day and all the games were up at the other end of the field, we were just hired for background music. The crowd still enjoyed and we had a blast. :)

Come pledge again your heart and your hand
One grasp that never will sever
Our password be our native land
Our motto, love forever
And let the orange lily be
Your badge, my patriot brother
It's the everlasting green for me
And we for one another
lukessummer 3 years ago
Behold how green the gallant stem
On which the flower is blooming
How in one heavenly breeze and beam
Both flower and stem are glowing
The same good soil sustaining both
Makes both united flourish
But cannot give the orange growth
And cease the green to nourish
lukessummer 3 years ago
The more the hand that plucks that flower
Will vainly strive to cherish
In that hour the stem blooms on
The flower, it begins to perish
Regard them then of equal worth
While last their genial weather
The time's at hand when deep in earth
They will both sink together
lukessummer 3 years ago
And though it be in our country's cause
Our party feelings blended
'Til lasting peace from equal laws
On both will have descended
'Til then, let the orange lily be
Your badge my patriot brother
It's the everlasting green for me
And we for one another
And we for one another
lukessummer 3 years ago
And though it be in our country's cause
Our party feelings blended
'Til lasting peace from equal laws
On both will have descended
'Til then, let the orange lily be,
Your badge my patriot brother

This is a great version! The only thing I wonder is why everyone is so far away from the stage.

It was a family day event and all the games are at the other end of the field.

I find most canadian groups leave out versus. The rebel songs/heros of the boyne verse in the case.
