@Danilko100 lol of course it was, Nintendo released the first mario game for arcade in 83 I think, the first SUPER mario game was in 85 for NES. ALL MARIO IS FROM NINTENDO AS A PUBLISHER. Just because it appeared on Atari or arcade does not mean it was not nintendo who made it..

The original company that made the 2600, 5200, 7800, Lynx, Jaguar, and many Arcade Games and Computers, the name and its assets was sold to Hasbro in 1998 and again in 2001 to Infrogames, as Atari Inc, a division of Infrogames or now as just Atari SA.

@Swampert384 Yeah they do the problem was always marketing and leaving the 2600 soundchip in the 7800 was a mistake. But that was Tramiels fault for caring more about computers and not wanting to spend the money. The 5200 and 7800 are very good consoles. The model 2 5200 is very enjoyable and allows for a custom joystick to be input.

This version is a lot nicer than the 2600, but really just as playable..this is the problem atari had.

Why if you owned the 2600 version would you be driven to rebuy the same game, just for better graphics and sound?

just buy another consule and open up to newer titles

even with the jag which i bought..we still had tempest, defender, etc rolled back out with no real mascot game.

atari never learned with the 5200 7800 and the jag despite have some amazing hardware and know are unfortunatly gone
