@EmpZappa66 It's kind of otherworldly and very, very sad. I agree with you Zappa, he seemed to know he wasn't long for this earth. But on the other hand, he had what millions of musicians and singers never come close to. Rock and Roll stardom, doing what you love, singing the blues, playing with your idols, like Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters, then being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Keith did pretty well for himself. On top of that he had a child or children.
One of the best songs I've ever heard, truly amazing by my friend Keith Relf, a good, gentle person, that I know. If he had lived, he 'd have been 67 today!
One of the most heartfelt songs ever recorded by a musician. Keith had such a beautiful voice and as stated wer'e always ready to hear more.... May you rest in peace my dear blondie...
I love Keith's voice in this song, it's true that he had a pretty wide-ranging and moody voice once he could get air in his lungs.... Love Keith & his amazing song forever.
What a heartfelt song with such deep meaning....Keith was certainly an avant -garde rocker... he had his own style from his blond bangs, black shades and that gorgeous smile that certainly captivated his audience....His heartfelt songs represent what a talented man he was.. You were taken much to soon... But your memory and music will live on forever!!!
I was so taken by this song that I hadn't read the video.I quite agree that Keith did embody the '60s avant-garde rocker, as a teenager he had quite an emotional impact on me when he appeared on a Tv show with his blond bangs, dark shades and his way of looking straight at the audience when he performed! Also the picture which I believe best represents him in the Yardbird phase is the one shown above. Many thanks to Jim Maccarty & Mrs. April Manino for this longed-for tribute to Keith.
wonderful, dismal, heart-breaking song by my romantic poet Keith Relf!! I just bought it as bonus in the Innocents & Illusions albums from Amazon. thanks for putting this up Wolffishfish...I adore it!!!!!
I heard this song yesterday for the first time and I have been listening to it quite often... What a heartfelt song it brought me to tears.... I have tried to locate this song to purchase,, Do you know where I can get it?

Sounds almost like mid 1970s, dreamy John Lennon. I mean, this could almost be on the album Mind Games, no?

Yes, this is a really heartfelt song.
I've been listening to it over the past few days, too.
This song was included on Renaissance's CD, "Illusion" and "Innocents & Illusions" as a bonus track.
I think major CD shop carries them.
Be aware that there are two releases of "Illusion": with and without bonus tracks.
So please pick one with bonus tracks.
