  • I am a Hostgator guy and I must say it is probably one of the best, if not the best hosting service out there. Fantastico for all Internet marketers, is the easiest way to get your blog up and running. Also, Hostgator LIVE SUPPORT is a great tool...use it.

How's your experience been with Hostgator now?

    Great review man...keep on rocking

  • You have the same old headset as me.. Wtf? Now I use Turtle Beaches x31s for PC

  • Really???

  • is there much down time as we have seen alot from just host, every single day multiple 502 bad gateway

  • Hi can you please review our service: starlop host <<< search this in google, we would be really happy if u can and check our services out and tell me via here whether we should maybe change or add services.

  • Just an update with HostGator's registrar. There's still Registry Rocket (which is actually eNom) for previous customers, but the latest registrar is LaunchPad. You don't have to go to Registry Rocket anymore and log into that panel anymore. Once you've purchased a domain, you can modify the DNS and purchase more domains through the billing panel now. Which is a lot more convenient.

About the support channels, their phone and live chat are open 24/7 with someone always available.

  • @tonbert Thanks for your great update. Yes, my info about Registry Rocket would likely be dated since the video was made some time ago. Good to hear the situation has improved.

  • Great video,Thanks for taking the time to do it!

i do not know why people criticize it so much? They must be working for competitors. I am finding he world of comments is really dirty, misleading and corrupt! Why can people be honest?

I just started out with hostgator i have found they have great support i can say that for sure!

But to my point, what headset are you using so i know never to buy that brand! It sounds like the cheapest microphone ever!

  • @EnjoyableApps It is (or WAS) a Microsoft headset, and you're right--it was total crap. It's long gone now.

  • Hostgator is great, and a lot of points which u review badly have been updated, check it out :)

  • Great video thanks for the information and sharing this with us if you need to find a good web host then please feel free visit us to get real reviews all review generate our ranking.

  • Very nice review. Thank you. I've just switched to HostGator and am extremely happy with them so far. Their technical support is 2nd to none. I wish my phone company was as responsive and friendly as these guys/gals. NetFirms was the *worst* host I've ever used in my life. In the early 90's I had owned and operated several of my own NT servers, providing webhosting to the general public. I do know what I'm talking about with respect to hosting. HostGator rocks (so far!). Thanks again.

  • @NoSirYes Thanks. I've had them for something like 3 solid years now. Technical support is amazing. I've probably initiated 300 chats over these years, and only had 2 or 3 where they couldn't help me. And all of them picked up the chat within minutes.

  • thank you....

  • Don't trust these host reviews because they could be an affiliate and have a bias towards the host they are reviewing. The only way to receive accurate information is customer reviews.

Check out host the truth dot com for customer reviews. feel free to donate your host opinions as well

  • @hostthetruth

Wrong. I make absolutely zero affiliate money from this. I have no affiliate links.

  • @sixfigureclicks What's with the pop-up banner and the huge ad over there on top >>>

  • @Acolon77 - Both are called contextual ads, served by Google's advertising program, AdSense. They come up because of the content of the video.

  • @hostthetruth This is a very balanced and I think accurate review, you should not slam others and promote yourself. that is just wrong!

  • @hostthetruth Dude did you even bother to listen to what he was saying?

  • HostGator is becoming their own domain registrar soon. Registry Rocket will be going away once we become our own registrar.

  • Two of their tech's told me they are part of the ONE WORLD ORDER. At first, I thought it was a joke. But the second tech seemed serious. Then I looked at their logos. They have the all seeing eye in their logo on live chat. And their main logo is weird too. I think I am going to switch to someone else. They have started screwing up my sites.

  • just check your site you look like good guy and also this is real review he not trying make sales. i use godaddy for domain and hosting HostGator. i am one those guys who have those page you seen on google say top10besthosting.

  • it's true, but now they have better Technical Support, I was able to reach a live tech within seconds, they still do have a high price on domain name but as he said you can get it from other companies, Godaddy etc

  • yes but you have to wait 60 days to transfer your domain over to host gator if you purchase if from GoDaddy... i got burned with that :(

they wont give you your EPP auth key unless you have had the domain for 60 days

  • thats what NameServers are for, adjust them into your Domain settings, and it works within 1-2 hours

  • nice

  • XD noob

  • so i can see it... dont u get money if i do?

  • by the way whats ur websites name?

  • i was kidding

  • they are good except they scammed me

  • There are better hostig companies than HG. Do your research before you leap. Hosting companies pay people to post positive comments about them, including using their own employees to contradict negative comments so beware.

  • Hostgator is a very good webhost.

  • Wrong. In fact, I even stripped my affiliate links out of this a long time ago.

  • @sixfigureclicks Interesting so your saying you made this video for affiliate commissions and now its not for that.

  • @droneant - This video originally went to affiliate links. I stripped those away some time ago. But, no, I did not expressly make the video to make affiliate money; it was more like a "fan video." Even now, years later, I'm still a fan of HostGator. Their rates have stayed the same, their customer service is still excellent. In short, it's a web host where I can just "set it and forget it."

  • @sixfigureclicks Then why is there a hostgator ad on the video itself? Better yet why are you allowing ads on your video by Youtube? Seems like something Hosting-reviews-exposed should look at.

  • @dreamdezign My god, what is your problem? i am using hostgator, called there support 3 times tonight and they picked up in 20seconds! My old web master suggested them and he knows his stuff. i think they are fine. why do you hate them so much? You must be a competitor.

  • preach brotha !!!!!!

    but HOST GATOR has potiental.....

cpanel needs better tutorials & stuff...

  • This video was very helpful. I just bought my first domain name at godaddy and was trying to decide what host to use. I heard a lot of good reviews about host gator. It seems that a lot of people buy their domain at godaddy then host on host gator. Your video wasn't just one sided either. You pointed out the good and the bad. After watching this video I decided and am happy with doing what a lot of people do and buy domains from godaddy and host at host gator. Thanks so much!

  • Godaddy is the best, Hostgator in my opinion are the best hosting company! Im using their reseller program and host my other site and their support is 100% perfect. I agree Godaddy spam alot lol

  • this is awsome and helpful vedio... thanks buddy

  • This video was a big help. Thanks!

  • I am glad that much of the things you talk about have changed and improved since you did this video. Thanks for the info though!

  • I really like the live chats!

    Great review :)

  • yes, it's amazing how fast they pick up on the live chats.

  • Agree with what you said about customer support. They are brilliant.

  • they really are great with customer support. they always pick up the chats (I only do chats, rarely phone) within 2 or 3 minutes, tops.

  • Thx, helped me allot^^

  • Thanks!!

  • Wow! Great, honest video. I appreciate such frankness. Give both the pros and cons was awesome!

I use them for WordPressDirect. I am confused by the whole DNS servers thing...I will do a live chat with them now.

    Thanks again for the info.

    blessings,

    Wendyh

  • Yes, HostGator is great for WordPress. You really don't have to do anything--takes care of itself. As for DNS servers, ask HostGator which name servers you should set to. Then use those name server designations when you set up your domain (GoDaddy has a section where you can put in those DNS server names, for example).

  • Where is the SiteBuiler in my cPanel? Can't find it anymore... :(

  • It is now on the very left-hand side (in the left side-bar).

  • Agreed. it's so easy to install WordPress within the HostGator environment. Just press a button, and it's done.

  • Great review and very helpful! Thank you!

  • Are you reviewing cpanel or hostgator. lol.

  • Point taken. But it needs to be noted that cpanel is one of the features of Hostgator.

  • that helped, thanks. I was gonna get rid of my hostgater, but I think I'll stick it out.

  • it's worth sticking with. I'd say it's more designed for pros than newbies. but the customer service carries the ball...

  • HostGator oversell, they have strict rules against certain stuff like gamehosting just so you wont hit anywhere near the limit.

  • I know. I don't even nearly use my limit.

  • u r correct on what u said

But i dodnt register my domains with hostgator

I only host my sites at hostgator

  • Hostgator is great for hosting...bad for most everything else.
