Believe it or not, not every teen has sex and it is not some unique gene that decides whether or not they do, it is a decision.

Wow, did you miss the point. Those other girls are not going on national TV telling teenage girls "How I did it is how you should do it. Even though it completely did not work for me."

Preach abstinence, teach safety. Hope for one, plan for the other. They don't have to be mutually exclusive. There is a mountain of data to back up the FACT that abstinence-only education does not work. To keep teaching it anyway is dangerous and stupid.

As far as I know Bristol Palin wasn't making an appeal to the Board of Education to do anything here, she was personally encouraging teenagers to remain abstinent.

And ofcourse those girls are "preaching" their conduct to other girls, it is called peer pressure, and the things described above have become part of national youth culture.

I am not a republican, I am far from stupid, and I agree Abstinence ONLY education stupid. But the fact is she said "Abstance is the only way to completely avoid this type of situation." Yeah so what if it didn't work for her. To state a fact that IS a fact, no way around it is not wrong. It's a fact. However to single out this person cause she made a mistake and thinks others should learn from it, is like taking the drug user on TV who says don't do drugs and raging on them.

Youre missing the point. The daughter and her mom are ATTRACTIVE women. TV is a visual medium. The message doesnt matter. The GOP is manipulating this family in order to keep up interest in republican matters. Abstinance is a Republican matter.
