I hate snipers that stay at the back of the map failing their shots and getting like 5 kills a game... When I played as a sniper I was always in the fight using close range shots.

i manages to platinum this gun almost exclusively in CQC...i used acog though. i use acog with all my snipers, as i find its easier when doing short range sniping, and its the only scope i can long range snipe with (weird right?) but now because of Bl1nk ive been using the SV98 now.

also yes you can use Red Dot. good if your doing CQC, but im horrible with it

And btw the M95 is ideal for close quarters sniping since it has a one hit kill range of 25 Meters. Thank god i can own you campers with my Mortar in BF3.

what i use for close to mid range sniper support is the T88 sniper 4x scope and magnum ammo that this becomes god in my hands. vehicle perk depends on the map (I fly the Heli) generally either Alt fire or smoke

in my opinion, 4x and red dot scopes on sniper rifles are stupid, with the exception of the T88 S, SVU, & VSS. I used to have these attachments on my bolt-action rifles but asked myself, "wtf am I doing". Yes i agree, it can be fun, but it isn't difficult to play with. I now only use the regular scope, and this is when I'm running around like Bl1nk. If you're going to say that quickscoping takes skill, it does. But prove it with a reg. scope.not some unsuitable sighton a bolt-action. G-workBLINK

I love hc because it's so sniper friendly but I love the challenge of sc. Setup for softcore Sniper:Gol/m95 Spec1:ammo/light pack Spec2:magnum Spec3:don't care much C4 Setup for hardcore Sniper:gol/m24 Spec1:4x/light pack Spec2:magnum(just know they will die when shot)/explosive damage upgrade Spec3:dont care C4 Those are the best.

m24 is the best rifle imo.. when cq-sniping, I prefer the mp-443 or the m9 pistol with light weight pack and magnum ammo as well as c4. m95 is a really strange rifle and Im surprised to see you did so well with it.

if youre playing short range DONT snipe ,my advise, because youre to slow to kill use the m14 (now availible with a scope x4)

In close combat rhe other bolt action snipers are even worse. The m95 is 100 damege till 30 meter and the damege of the other snipers are 100 till 10 meter. After that the damege drops to tickle tickle.

I find it comfortable to use the red dot with the Type88, VSS Spetialnaja and VSU Snaiperskaja Short. Other than that I find the 4x to be too unstable and poorly precise for all the classes, that is if you dont use the weapon stabilizer specialization. The 12x is only useful on maps such as Arica Harbor, Atacama Desert, Laguna Presa (but not that much) . Out of all the snipers I think the best bolt-action one is the M24, the M95 is too slow and the GOL albeit good, is not so much influenced by

As for me, I'm on the consoles, and I live and die by the 4x scope. I utilize more of a rush style of play, and find that the standard 6x scope and 12x is far too slow for my style. However, one advantage of using the normal 6x is that extra slot in the specializations....

Favorite gun is definitely the SV98, so much fun!

I almost never snipe in bfbc2. I think every other class offers something better teamwise. When I DO, I always am on defense, to take out spawns, and I use the m95. I just feel it's the best sniper rifle, due to it's power and range.

I didn't read all the comments so if you said this already, Sorry! In BFBC2, the snipers are pinpoint accurate, literally. Call it cheating, but I scope up, take a small white sticker and put where the crosshairs (spelling?) are together. Hope it helps

@adrianying yes,but if they took that into account,the gun would have been too overpowered and overused.and actually the bulletdrop in bc2 is just fake.the bullets,even for the m95 go way further than that.they made the bullet drop earlier than real life!
