sorry bro but you've got the dimer there not the desired TACP. Likely when you synthesized the material it got too warm. 20.0g would remove that hunk of plywood from the window. the dimer isn't much good for anything but initiating a primary

Also, unless you made the dimer, and never washed it, or even dried it well, there's no way that was anywhere near 200g. Your camera never even wobbled, which it would have if it were that close to a half pound HE detonation, even a really shitty HE.

200 grams of washed AP covered like 4 coofee filters when drying. And in that bag its not even compressed, and it looks like about 1 dl. I guess 50 grams. Get a scale man :) If you have and that actualy where 200g, I'm sorry. But this video is a nice demonstration of how weak AP is :) 50 or 200g, dosent mather. Try to put 200g ETN against the plywood :D

I did some calculation and came to the result that the highest possible ammount of apex is around 250 grams...If you consider the circumstances of my production, 200 grams (+/-30 grams) is the most likely output.

you got the weight of the two substances you start with with these balance calculation you are able to calculate the weight of your product you get and thats it

Irgendwo in Deutschland hat ein 13jähriger 50g Sprengstoff hergestellt (ziemlich sicher TATP oder HMTD).

Die Polizei hat 4 Mehrfamiliengebäude zur Sicherheit geräumt und dann "den Sprengstoff sicher zur Detonation gebracht".

200g ist wirklich sehr viel, wenn es guter Sprengstoff ist. Dann noch richtig angewendet (starkes Metallrohr)....

it decomposes into formaldehyde, in the detonation of the trimer the formation of formaldehyde is a result of a fragmentation of primary formed oxygen radicals. In essence, the molecule is so unstable that in the reaction it breaks down at different points, not necessarily the same for each molecule. Your right, that smell only occurs when AP decomposes, When AP the reactions goes like 2 C9H18O6 + 21 O2 → 18 H2O + 18 CO2

See just recently i realized the smell coming off of compacted AP is much different from deflagurating AP. Compressed AP gives off the smell of formeldahyde (one of the products of decomposition) Where as the smell deflagurating AP is clean and humid. I believe that AP breaks down to acetone and oxygen when it deflagurates, the acetone instantly combusting is the deflaguration, and the high order det is when it decomposes to acetone and various other monomers.

yes Very unstable but you can get good results from it just be sure that when its synthing that your doing it in a fridge and it can only be stored for about a week before it becomes to dangerous to use.

seem that you lost a lot of power to deflagaration and little energy was converted to detonation.tatp is actually suppose to make no flame because it generates an entropic detonation, which basicly means it makes no flame and generates heat only from friction of moving bodies at high speed.try better confinement next time with a small detonator.you'll be amazed witth the result!

yes TATP is very instabil. We used it BECAUSE its easy to synthesize. Our objective was to test TATP for further use and we decided to don`t use TATP again because its heavy instabil.
