If you have a three-way switch on your trannie you can create two P-mixes and slave them to the 3-way. Off, 50%, 100% so you don't have to drop all of the flap in at once.
i noticed that the moment you hit the flaps, your plane reacts the exact same as my trojan with the same flap configuration. it pops up about a foot in the air. have you thought about a servo speed reducer? i'm considering it cuz i think it will help.
Thanks for the comment! I actually have upgraded my transmitter to a Futaba 9CAP. This Tx is awesome because of all the programming and mixing you can do. It even has a servo speed reducer function built in, so I can use that to reduce the rate of flaps. However, I have ended up programming the flaps to a dial on my Tx so I can "dial-in" the flaps as fast (or slow) as I want them. It's such a sweet setup!
I have a few planes with flaps as well. One other thing you can do is to mix in a bit of down elevator to the flap switch so when you put the flaps down the elevator goes down a touch to counter for the lift/ballooning. I do this on my A-10 and it works great.
great flying skills! you prob know this ,but if u bend your nose gear forward it will help a lot on those landings.I know mine bend back after awhile to. :<)
Thanks for the comment My2cents0! Great suggestion on bending the nose gear forward... I think I've read that before, but keep forgetting to do it before I go flying!
yeah i checked out your blog(saw your posts on rc groups t28 thread)when i said you prob know this, that was an understatement! airliners, jets, biplanes just to name a few!like your flaps an bigger motor, thinking of that one myself.
