Wait a sec when you talk about clicking noise are you talking about what I am experiencing ? I am getting a popping noise that is sharp sounding and happens some nights and others not at all and it mostly happens when the show goes to a commercial or the opposite. That basically is when the screen has a chance to go black and is changing pictures so I guess black to color and back is a problem at times for the set.
They DO NOT have to be bulged to be bad. Its just very easy to touch the top of them and see if they are concave or not. I would still swap them out even if you cannot tell.
Just repaired mine, took me about 1 hour to disassemble, repair and reassemble.
Mine is an LE52M87BDX
Note that all bulged caps will be 10 volt caps. Samsung's bus runs on 12V so its a good idea to replace them with 16V caps with the same capacitance and temperature rating (most often 1000uF and 105 degree C)
How do you know if you have this problem? Mine is having issues turning on, the red light lights up and it makes a clicking noise. Please help.

Is the only way to tell if the capacitors are bad is if they are bulged?

You can easily repair the bad caps yourself. The power board is easily accessible. Just need to take off some screws..
