he is so amazing...I have no idea what he is talking about or could even follow his teaching. he is funny because he is not a very good teacher but an amazing person and player...Man!
@myonlydanger i think that this video teaches you on how to make youre own patterns using scales, techniques and arpeggios as tools and try connecting them together
One of the few players I can think of who does an excellent job of combining chops with tasty melodies. He's not just flash for the sake of it, but uses it tastefully, which separates him from the rest of the pack. "Cliffs Of Dover" is one of my favorite instrumentals of all time.
gee..damn his tone settings sucks..is like underwater or something...delay delay delay-...but i bet this would only sound mellow good when smoking joint...But have you ever heard MALMSTEEN when you are in the fucking zone??.BEST FEELING EVER!"
@HyperfastMalmsteen i love eric johnson even though all of the other top players have talent no one surpasses this guy. even vai and satriani dont stand a chance against eric. im starting to think ej isnt human.
I am doing research into visual music and how our senses combine to form our understanding of the activities in music. I just want to hear about various peoples' opinion on what is the equivalent of tone in the visible spectrum rather than in the audible spectrum ;; that is, our eyes rather than our ears.
Man, if you were to watch him without hearing it you wouldn't be able to tell how good he is... Maybe it's a youtube syncing\framerate thing, but his ring and pinky look like they are flopping around like a struggling metalhead...
He has amazing phrasing and touch, but he looks sloppy, what a trip
@n2motocross I got to meet him in Iowa City and he was so nice and really cool. Thats why hes my guitar hero. Because he is a great player and person.

Yeah...
Just using open strings and grace notes will make your phrasing sound that good.
He explains almost nothing that he is doing.

@tomguitarr Don't worry about it. Be influenced by it, pick up a thing or two, and then go find a way to play guitar like YOU do.

Just do a screen dump and write out the rest of the letters and scan them and make your own font in photoshop.

@pyromohanzed huh? i assess music in equal parts. i don't combine them. so count me in as part of the ear group in your research.
