*OS = XP, Vista, Windows 7, etc. New OS' hate games.

in avp 2010 you only have wristblades some bombs combistick and plasma caster..

in avp 2 you had some sort of plasma pistol plasma caster, wristblades, combistick to fight in meelee combat..

they removed a shitload of weapons.

No, it does it on it's own incrementally or you pick up power boosts for a full recharge. Health is managed by the medicomp again.

@johnnyphillipslego If you want to buy the game from Steam, then the only thing you need is to have Steam installed and download the game from there, as far as I know, there is no CD version of AvP Classic 2000, so your only option is to download the game (it's about 400 MB). If you want the game in CD, try to find the old AvP Gold or whatever edition it is.

No. This version has never legally been released on CD. Only AvP and AvP Gold were released on disc, both of which have major problems running on anything above Windows 98.

@DAVEVR606 I beg to differ! The newest AvP is filled with details from the movies. You will notice how much they resemble the things in the Aliens movies. As for the predator you just gotto love it. The only thing I think people are allowed to complain about the new AvP game is that the campaigns feel a bit short. Otherwise it's awesome and multiplayer is bad ass. Just my opinion, the last AvP movies weren't that good but the last one was at least quite gore at times and that's predator style!

Tell me were I put him down. He in fact told me to sod off, he actually put me down. Like I said to him, to think the old 2000 game looks closer to the new one in terms of how the movies looked is just wrong. I have already mentioned the thermal vision, which was a drawback of the technology of the time, but all the colonial marine uniforms were wrong and looked nothing like the movies hence all the movie uniform skin packs people made. I love the game, but it's not as faithful as the new one.

Loved this game, still have the original discs, the music CD is absolutely awesome and something apart from the graphics seemed better than AvP2. The sounds were dead on awesome AvP2 sounded like they just mashed up some clips from the movies.

Recall disc means that you have to have thrown the disc first to recall it and the grapple is for skirmish only.

Hey guys im having a problem with this game. When I saw this on Steam I was like YEES, Its been so long. So im playing and have to use an old mouse do to dpi problems. So when i see the alien robot with the laser. It crashes my game everytime. He disapears and half my screen goes black i can still run around than it crashes. everytime i see that robot alien. And Steam said all the expansion levels too.. I dont have any.. laaame.

The expansion levels are used in skirmish and can only be found there, as for your crashing trouble, sorry, I have no idea, I haven't played that far yet.
