id bet that you could get detonation if you could light it from the bottom. to get detonation, the shockwave the expansion of gas has to be faster than the speed of sound.

Truly it was a deflagration not detonation. Detonation requires a supersonic wave front. Detonation in a plastic bottle would end with plastic shrapnel. Love the static-x.

Hmmm, have you tried different amounts of propellant with the jar version? Combustion can be regulated with the whole fuel/air mixture thing.

@kjbaran Thank you for your comment !! Yes and nozzel sizes as well ..

The the glass jar had squared corners and was not Perfectly Symmetrical. I realized that No tapered-tip at the ignition source and the squared corners caused The Wrong Wave Effect. The tapered Tip and nozzel size as well as the Air/Fuel Ratio ( As you said )

of The other Container formed the Wave and made a Very Unique sound.
