'Twas worst and pathetic (courtesy of the English Stablishment) to hear an actor dubbing in English what Irish Republican leader Gerry Adams said in ENGLISH!!! It was a kind of censorship, stupid as it was, against Republican voices. But they did not censor the statements... such an absurdity and stupidity it was. Typical imperialist arrogance.

If somebody wonders why swedes (or scandinavians ... and maybe a few others?) in general are much better at English (and not only English) than Germans it's because we never had any TV or movies dubbed. Same thing for Italy, Spain and France?

We sometimes even get two jokes from the same scene in comedies if the translator does a good job haha!

But Germans et al need to hear other languages! If you're out there and you don't get subtitles start harassing the government and TV stations haha.

This is the way Germans always translate, with a voice-over, they hate subtitles.

Growing up near the border with Germany we watched German tv regularly that's how i know . Annoying as it may be ( for non Germans like me) this is a German documentary made for a German public so of course there's a voice over; the German public demands it, they didn't make this for you-tube.
