I mean, all that symbolism zutara tries to lay claim to were REALLY about Zuko's struggle between good and evil inside of him, and the fact he supossed to be by Aang's SIDE as his FRIEND instead of being his ENEMY.

Plus, Aang was the closest thing Zuko had to a friend for a while, even when they were enemies.

The most important relationships (whether romantic or platonic) holding it all together is:

Katara and Aang

Zuko and Aang
