I have been reading about and watching videos here on Youtube about Indigo Snakes, and they are very fascinating. Look Indigo Snake up on Youtube and watch some of the videos! I believe they are considered a threatened or endangered species and are protected. They will eat venomous snakes.
@0guerrilaz0 Considering they are "highly" desired snakes in the trade and its is near impossible to find one for under $800... yes with out a doubt id keep one, or atleast make a quick stack off it.
@teichiboy you forgot about racers and coachwhips - both will eat other snakes. There are a few other small north american snakes that eat other snakes too.
ANY snake will eat another snake thats drastically smaller in size. Its the reason why most people dont keep snakes together as pets. Each "pet" snake should have its own tank!
BS. Where do you live? I've done field work in every county in Florida and then some. Like someone else said, that's a Gray Rat Snake, probably from the Tallahassee area or thereabouts - I've taken many off the roads around there when they were basking in the late afternoon. I doubt your "husband" legally owns this snake Indigo. If I found out who you were, I'd turn you in to Florida Fish & Game in a New York second. If he does legally own it, he should have his permit taken from him.

@truewy snakes are the most fansinating and least dangerous animals in the world humans kill more of them in 1 year then they kill in ten and thats proven
also dogs kill more more people in 1 year than snakes
@TheGuitarist4181 no venom snakes are alot more dangerous than most dogs if everyone had snakes and there where snakes in every street corner like dogs you wouldnt even be alive

Well done! Lots of people here know their snakes. Definitely not a bullsnake. I don't think the Texas rat shares its range with the Indigo. That is almost certainly a grey rat- a pretty big snake itself!
That's no bull snake your title for this vid sure it though. This is a Grey Rat snake. Elaphe Obsoleta spiloites. Caught many of these back in the days. snake eating snake, now that just playing sick. lol. yeah its weird but they aren't from the same spices so its ok for them and beside, its survival to the finish.
