When you know people, you get everthing for cheaper or sometimes for free. I'm not here to argue about my Z. Plus the car is long gone... 21? and you are basing yourself because of my screen-name? 89 could be anything besides my birth year. 89 can be my track #, etc... The FX is not my daily day car. Is, my golfing car for saturday mornings.. haha. I drive GT-R, but mine is 09. Oh and my brother is 19... I don't expect you to believe me. As long as i know i'm speaking the truth =)

This is my hobby, fixing cars. The way i see it, if you have the money and will have the money for a while, why not spend it. My dad has money, so here and there i get my money from him, plus what i make. I had a NISMO 350z pushing 600 horses. But i killed the car. Got flat tired and lost control. I put about 7 grand on it. My dad just bought my younger brother an 2011 GT-R. From spending money on girl, i rather spend it on cars.

@89azarael Also, you obviously have not done your research. Anything you would spend on a 350z for power add an extra 25% cost-wise for the FX. to make that type of power last on an FX (600 hp like you 'had on your z') you need to have a fully built motor and transmission. AFter the cost of FI, built motor and tranny, etc, you'll still have an 08 FX that's just as fast as the new X6 or Porsche turbo S, for example, which you could probably even buy for the price of your entire build.

You can get one for under 20 grand. I just got one a few months ago. My uncle works at the dealer and hooked me up with it. I got an 06 for 18 fully loaded. I'm saving money to put a wide body, fix my engine: cams,heads, headers, supercharger, etc. Suspension, brakes, wheels.

@Solaris2291 If you're going to be trading in a vette I would reccomend an FX45 if you cannot afford an FX50 (the newer one) The FX35 isn't that quick, despite it sounding nice. You'll miss the v8.

I traded this in to a dealer for 16.5k Mine was pretty much fully loaded. Look to spend around 20k on a decent one, add more for less miles.

Out of curiosity do you prefer the FX45 over the 35? I would figure people who want a performance version would go with the 8 cyl. Or is there not that big of a difference between the 2?

No, I stayed with the nismo but now have different pipes off the muffler and now have a kakumei Y-pipe and kinetix HFC's.

The FX45 is torquey and faster highway, but all together they are a very similar vehicle. FX35=moddable FX45=not moddable for the most part.

Sounds pretty good, buuuut... I don't like how far it sticks out and the tips should be beveled, plus I'm going to go ahead and poo poo the automatic. Stick is still king.

Exacly wut kinda plenum do u have? I jus got the stillen z-tube + intake, and I hear the plenum spacer is the best bang for ur buck but don't know if I should basic or iso thermal....wut u think? And whered u get urs and how much? Thanks

I have the stock plenum with the motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer. I also have the ztube intake. the regular one is fine iso thermaL is just an extra copper gasket that you do not need unless where you live is like -20 degrees. I got mine form the motordyne website.

the midpipe and muffler bolt right up but you have to extend the tips to reach the end of the bumper.

the nismo ypipe doesnt fit unless you extend it: I am using the stock one.

I have the Nismo stune cat-back exhaust and one of the hangers broke and to fix it I just used an arc welder....so the entire muffler is a little Low. I am getting it fixed after the winter is over.
