I'm not talking about this controversial fight but generally speaking you can't judge a fight based off a fighter's face. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Kenny Florian fucked up Sean Sherk's face with elbows yet he still won. Nick Diaz gets cut and his face smashed all the fucking time and sometimes looks worse than the other fighters yet still wins almost all of his fights.

I'm not talking about this particular fight but don't judge a decision based off who bleeds or gets bruises easier.

If a fighter sucks ass and gets destroyed in the 5th round and gets hit like 200 times but wins the at least 3 of the first 4 he wins the fight. Plus, you have to figure how many of those strikes are significant strikes and not just light jabs or something. Also, DIego was the aggressor & maybe the judges liked that.

I agree and thought Diaz won the 1st two and the 5th

Techinically, neither fighter really won. It was the judges decision that Diego pushed the pace of the fight and had octagon control. I don't know if that was the right call but I believe if that fight went even one more round Diego would have finished him. Martin was being chased all around the octagon,he was tired and retreating.

Just looked at the "Official UFC Statistics" (FightMetric) for this fight.  Total strikes landed Kampmann=77, Sanchez=51. Also, according to the 10 pt. MUST system Kampmann wins 29-28.

This was not a "close" fight. Kampmann won decisvely; he outclassed, outsmarted, and outstruck Sanchez. You would have to be a blind idiot to say that Sanchez won. His face was beaten to a pulp.

I was disgusted at the judges decision on this and felt very bad for Kampmann....
