  • @gondal1961

    The Singer is Asha Ji

  • Can someone please translate the song for me?

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 Here is a translation of this song: Charm of these eyes has intoxicated thousands Thousands of stories are associated with these eyes Charm of these eyes... You are not the only one disgraced in my love This city has thousands of frenzied lovers like you Only I serve wine with my eyes Otherwise this world has thousands of taverns You try to frighten this shining candle with storms This shining candle has lovers in thousands Charm of these eyes... (posted from Lahore)
  • @orientlover1 Thanks

  • rekha bai,...i am a fan,...so...

  • As far as the cultural influence is concerned, the best thing is again, adapting and fusion of 'old with the new'.But thanks to internet and youtube, many millions of young people today and the future, will always have information of their culture from the past,be it in songs, clothing, cooking, etc,as these are freely available online,of which youtube.com does a very good job of providing.

  • Mr.Fahad..time has to keep moving..that means, changing and adapting with the times.

You cannot replicate or duplicate things from the past or to live in the past, otherwise

change and adapting to the future becomes difficult. And thats why some nations have

been stuck in the "modern past" with lots of issues, one clear example : Aghanistan,

other "islamic nations" of the world. But change doesnt have to all copied from the west though."It has to be 'indianised".Nothing will be perfect though.

  • Neither in the past, nor today and tomorrow, this can be shown again by some one else. Acting of REKHA is the one and only one heroine of her time. Will be a lesson for the ages to come.

LATA JI, AHSA JI are the incarnation of Goddess Saraswati perhaps! Heads off .

  • NO ONE IS SAYING THAT "AASHA" JEE HAS SUNG THIS SONG QUITE BEAUTIFULLY..:)

  • Very true that there are a lot of them focused on west, but there are a few handful people who i believe are getting there. sooner we will bag a oscar :-)

  • I agree with u Fahad, Indians have lost their sou and minds. Tooooooooo much bollywood is a major factor.

People are looking up to the wrong people, wheras the people with true talent are ignored.

I love culture, music, peotry etc but I feel it does'nt feel as pure as it use to.

We are a great people, we don't need bollywood stars we need true talent.

we can't even win an oscar and we're 1 billion people. Shame on us.

  • Great song of all time i am 23 years old guy from Pakistan but i still cant belive such an old song can remind me of past this song still lives i remmber ash bachan movie as well but it was for me a big big flop by compareing rkha geee,... rekha's acting is so pure mmmm God bless you and yeah please remake the movie and do the same part blesss from pakistan

  • So melodious tuning for a emotional song. This song can be enjoyed by only those, who can patiently listen, without hastiness. such songs are not for people who love 'speed'

  • beautiful!!!

  • A great wonderful actress, BUT this song/video is too traditional for my taste.

  • Hi Fahad. i like your comment. its truth Indian lost their souls and minds.

  • the song made immortals out of the writer, khayyam saahab.aasha bhonsleji and rekhaji........will never be forgotten

  • I also love India, the land of all my past and I could write the same words like fahad100. It is terrible that my beloved India becomes destroyed by Western ways of living (I don´t call it culture)! I´m saying this as a German. I don´t know what wrong I did to have been reborn in the West...but whatever it was, I suffered so much to be away from INDIA, that I payed for everything I did wrong in last lives. May India live forever.

  • me encanta REKHA .... no baila tan bien como sri devi pero tiene caracter !!!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG WITH A TIMELESS LADY....

  • madham RHEKHA,,,,,,,,,,,,cantik sangat yuach

  • BOJE MOY!!!!! KAKAYA KRASOTA!!!!!!!

  • this is not a song but kudrat ka karishma hai.

  • Which film is this from?

  • @WrightLematype umrao jaan

  • What a lovely Song...loved it :)

  • To Bollywood : STOP BECOMING WESTERNIZED!!! STICK TO YOUR ROOTS, DON'T LOOSE YOUR CULTURE, YOUR MUSIC, YOUR SOUL!!

  • Akheer kr di he na tm ne Rekha G (CH Ilyas sumandary pula 444 GB)

  • As an Anglo American I can safely say I love classical Indian music and culture. The food is Nirvana for me. I fell in love with Indian culture in the 70's and still love it. There are so many wonderful and beautiful facets. I loves the clothes and music, and this video is beautiful !

  • so beautiful fabulous song, LUV!!!

  • So beautiful

  • The freshness and intoxicating beauty of this song is still palpable !!!

  • What a beautiful song, beautiful voice, great work of music and acting where are those professional people with strong craftsmanship now . nowadays we have to do with confused stupid singers, actors, musicians, directors and producers. Fahad from Amsterdam

  • Amazing song! My fav!

  • I love Great India , Indian culture, people, songs & films because they are the best in the world ,unfortunately the Indian movie makers are trying to change their beautiful style in order to catch up with Western culture. To do that they're changing our great culture to western style and destroying Beautiful Indian - Pakistani culture. ( India is the Mother country of Pakistan ) WHERE ARE THE GREAT WRITERS, MUSICIAN, ACTORS, DIRECTORS, SIMPLICITY AND SKILL WORK WAS THE KEY OF SUCCESSES

  • @fahad100 India is the Mother country of Pakistan is how you see it. Lovely thought. I see India and Pakistan as siblings but the main thing is we love both the countries very deeply.

  • @Emerystreet I think there one and the same. Sad how there getting destroyed.

  • @fahad100 the rush to become rich has made indians lost their souls and minds.

  • @fahad100 ~~ total agree, with you on that one. xx

  • @fahad100 If the rush to westernize includes adopting their attitude towards women, and the daughters of poor people are not forced into white slavery, like the main character of this film, then every household in India could stand to lose a tabla player and some bindi and choodi, I think. Funny, people like you never seem to object to airports, water treatment plants, irigation systems, trains, vaccinations or anything else the West has given the world. It's not all McDonalds and Gaga, fool.

  • @nauort23 Do you people even think before you speak? Irrigation systems did not come from the west. Gunpowder, currency, printing presses all came from China. A few centuries ago, India had the world's largest GDP. These things come and go in cycles. In the west, they burnt women alive and commited all sorts of atrocities.

India might have had its faults-but we move past them. Many states in America are proud of slavery and proudly carry the confederate flag and are busy revising history.

  • @MrAtk123 I never mentioned gunpowder or currency, but it's good to know who to blame for the atrocities those two inventions have brought to the world. My point is that I tire of Asians, and people from other parts of the world, slamming "the West" and blaming Europeans and Americans for the materialism and loss of particular traditions within their own cultures. Not denying any Western errors, here. But, why are we blamed because Indian kids want iPods instead of dancing lessons?

  • @nauort23 The west of today is different from the west of just a few decades ago. Women were not allowed to vote and slavery was accepted. The two world wars and colonialism were all from the west. Today the west pretends to be the beacon of human rights -when it has only adopted that recently.

people are just tired of the hypocricy. People don't blame the west-they are just saying we have a rich and vibrant culture and adopting the materialism of the west as the be all is not necessary.

  • @nauort23

    Mr.or Mrs. or ???

thanks for your response on my comment, but i think this matter is far beyond your intellect, i do not know who you are and where you are from and where are you living. it is the chosing of words by you. betrayal you that you are not from intellectuel family.

  • @fahad100 Although I might occasionally question someone's comments here, I don't feel the need to attack his family. I'll leave that sort of nonsense to the people of "great India"... And whether or not my family are intellectual, I'm fairly certain we can all spell the word--which is more than one can say for you.

  • @nauort23

Mr. or Mrs. or ??? @nauort23

Thanks for your response on my comment, but i think this matter goes far beyond your intellect, i do not know who you are and where you are from and where are you living. it is the choosing of words by you. Betrayed you, that you are not from an intellectual family. I think its better that bring a visit to psychiatrist, I have the greatest doubts about your mental health

  • @fahad100 Dank u wel, Fahad. And I suppose it was the wonderful Dutch food that lured you out of the mother cuntry?

I and with me some friends are enjoying life with good and higher education, politeness, respect and freedom for everyone. we are using World Wide Web to find intelligent polite team players to stop or at least change the attitude of unpleasant and wrong way of life. Beside this try to designate them be proud of your own roots together with skill of work and simplicity.
