This is amazing. I just bought the stock version of that plane from Wal Mart last night. I crashed it within ten minutes and was gluing the wing on. I crashed it four more times and made four more repairs. All that said, I wasn't dissapointed. I swear though that the lack of rudder control and flaps did me in. The thing was not air worthy. I would love to get into this sport. Can your recommend a more forgiving trainer?
#2 once one of two motor power gets out of sync, the plane either turns left or right permanently
#3 turns are limited to 1/2 second and is thrust vector control- not much control at all
#4 no elevator control. stalls easily and no way to control it.
A more air worthy plane is the super cub- it will run you a bit more ($150), but well worth it. The super cub is a super stable plane and make sure you get the 3 channel one
The only thing still original is the body and landing gears. new wings, brushless motor/esc, new receiver, and 2 servos for elevator and rudder control. I had to cut new wings- The original wings had to go because it wasn't strong enough for the G force. This plane now hits 50mph and takes off within 2-3 feet. The original took something like 15 feet and could hardly stay in the air.
did you change the motors on that plane becouse all estes plane dont fly good

The problem with the stock plane
#1 underpowered- hardly stays in the air
#2 once one of two motor power gets out of sync, the plane either turns left or right permanently
#3 turns are limited to 1/2 second and is thrust vector control- not much control at all
#4 no elevator control. stalls easily and no way to control it.

holy crap! do you have more video of this thing ?
krimpyren 3 years ago
No, Sorry. My wife and everyone else just about sick of flying planes with me, so no one else goes so no more videos.
BTW - I mentioned 50mph, but I tested a new stryker at 80mph and this plane seems a bit faster than that...
