Peinliches Video!
i have a problem with the pricing of Mackie HR824mk2.. asked the authorised dealer i found from mackie website and they offer SGD2400 a pair.. im from singapore by the way.. days later, i found an audio shop offering SGD900 a pair for the same mackie HR824mk2.. whats up with the huge gap?! and i cant test them out for both retailers.. sheesh! any advice? hmm.
no i actually ended up with the JBL lsr4328ps, now im aiming for a smaller second pair and once again the only vids I find are in German.. Either adam a7 or gennie 8030a. Im glad i chose the JBLs though.
Eddie Kramer is lucky he got to work with bands like Zeppelin, and The Beatles. His mixes are sub par. Besides, he gets paid to use JBL because of his status. Maybe if he used better speakers his mixes wouldve reflected the talent of the artists.
Monitors are a personal preference. Ive owned every pair out there, Dynaudio, Genelec, Adam. All hyped in coloration, and high end response. You have a choice to either want "flat" monitors or monitors that make things sound better then they really are... Perhaps you prefer color saturation. Nothing wrong with that but takes more time getting used to monitors of that sort. Im pleased with my JBLs . What do you use?
Everything is about personal preference.... I use Mackie hr824's with S410 sub for reference, and Yamaha NS10's for color. (and the Yamaha NS344's because i've had them forever.) JBL is poo.
I was looking into mackies but prefer mk2 s over the original. Ns10s to me are crap, because of saturation. I get better results on jbls then I did on ns10s in the old studio I worked at.
Good for you, I have a bachelor's in audio technology. Whoopee. JBL is poo. So, JBL nor Mackie "cut it with me." The are economy equipment. Mackies are great for the price though. Not so much JBL's.
Eddie Kramer uses JBL audio. He has won numerous awards and is very well known in the audio buis. .He mixed woodstock and has worked with some very popular acts...

Tell that to the all the producers who won Grammy awards using their products.

Like whom? I got that term from successful producers that I know. It's an industry term...

you have a computer google it.....
I have a degree in production so the "industry standard" doesn't cut with me

I take it you can't get a good mix on jbls?

NS10's are colored, but they sound so bad that if you can get your mix to sound good on them, it will sound good on anything.
godsizedhole 1 year ago
ill agree with you on that.

@godsizedhole true that
