this is great tutorial but, when you trace around your fited t shirt , you must leave at last 1 cm for stitching. if you dont do that you will end up with a smaller shirt then your fitted one..
@TheZlocka My chaulk line was very thick, so cutting along the outside of it added about 1/4 to 3/8 inch which was my seam allowance. I go more into depth on that in the annotated tutorial. Glad you liked the tutorial and thanks for subbing :) I will be posting a new tutorial tomorrow!
Heres the deal, Im attempting at making 2 kannazuki no miko schooluniforms, one for my cousin and one for me and I need to know how to make super puffy shoulders. Can u make one that is very large and wil most likely stay in place. Its a big project and I only have 1 month left! PLZ HELP
That is so clever, and it looks great once you're finished. Also, I love the way you used paper to help you make the right cuts. I will definitely be using that trick from now on. Thank you for posting this!
I didn't want my sleeves to be too puffy...but the technique can be used to make sleeves much puffier simply by making the Vs between the pieces larger.
great instructions!!! clear and understandable. T shirts recon seems to be hot rage these days. Wanted to ask you about your sm cabinet it looks like a very old singer I have is it?? Did you paint it ?
Thanks :) It is a Singer that dates to the early 1950s. I got it at a garage sale down the road for $5. It works perfectly and looks beautiful, except that the top of the cabinet had some water damage. So I sanded and sanded it then painted it. I chose that color because it makes me think of the classic cars of the 50s and it looks so pretty against the sleek black of the singer. I'll try to get a photo of the machine soon :)
Thanks! It's really not that hard to do, that was my first time to actually make puff sleeves...I knew the concept, but had never done it until then. So if I can do it you can too :)
ooooo its t-shirt time

If I want a bigger 'puff' should I just make the curve longer? And can I gather the top of the curve a little instead of the pleats? Thank you!!
