@Rezqewr I like the song. I was 15 when I heard it for the first time and all I thought about is how I hated Mondays! Because school was the next day!! It is sad to know that Brenda took her dislike of Mondays and obsession with a song, to act in such a horrific manner. God Bless those who died or were injured as a result of her actions.

Yea, this song is about a girl who opened fire at an elementary school from her home across the street. She was 16 at the time and said she did it because she didn't like Mondays and it livened up the day. Yikes!

@machinimafan27 um. while I realize that Bob Geldof was the star of the Wall, this particular video has absolutley nothing to do with Pink Floyd or The Wall. But it does bring me right back to being 13 years old and junior high when this song was first popular. (and if you do the math you will figure out just how old this geezer is in 2011).

@dasgdasg I've had this conversation before the answer seems to be so news people can ensure the correct person gets the blame. There maybe many people with the same first and last name as you in the area, but there will be way less with the same middle name.

The reason is, to help avoid association with or to be mistaken for all the other people who happen to have the same first and last name. It's standard procedure in the media to refer to a person who commits a heinous crime by their full name so all the other people named Brenda Spencer aren't stigmatized.
