  • Wondering if ur still having insomnia; i've just discovered u on Y.T. (i'm a newbie in raw foods) & LOVE what you've shared. I suffered w/ insomnia 5 yrs. ago--tried everything (acupunct.) sleep clinic, etc. I ended up having a stroke 4yrs. ago resulting in loss of vision in one eye (traveling in Budapest w/ husband). Insomnia is much worse when traveling/strange surroundings. After 10 consecutive days/nights w/o sleep-bam- stroke!Weaned self off all anti-depress. meds+daily workouts sleep came

  • i used to have insomnia, and what i did to help it was tense up my whole body and then release and focus, and i really mean, FOCUS on your breathing. like counting your breathing, it really helped me. i hope you find a resolution to your problem.

  • I m not sure the facts what i m going to tell u is helpful or not!! Not an absolutely question to ask whether u get frustrated about ur sheer insomnia or not upon seeing ur presentation!!I just the one who been suffering from severe insomnia for over 7 years till now, it is going with me.U seemed to have tried everything, and nothing worked.love u to try raw Onion before get bed, n u can't do anything to get sleep when u r in bed, so the only thing u can do is just watch ur mind(via meditation)

  • @ezrachoi -- ok, thank you. i will consider this. the only thing that works for me is a variety of addictive medications which i desperately would love to get off.

  • @ezrachoi -- did you go for the acupuncture specifically for insomnia, or for other conditions?

  • Keep trying. It may take a few times before it works. I'm sleeping 6-7 hours a night now. I used to sleep 3 tops. I hope it helps. No sleep is a killer. Nikki

  • Wish you were my mom haha man just spark up so mary Jane! Listen to some smooooth aperataaa and relax. Walk around your house naked while doing it. Shoot if that don't work.....punch yourself in the face!!

  • I take 250 but check with someone to be sure that's right for you. Your levels may be different than mine. Don't want to swap one problem for another. Hope this helps.

  • My naturopath prescribed for me 3 units of melatonin and alpha gpc. alpha gpc is a hormone that allows your brain to process the melatonin I had insomnia for 10 years and now I'm totallty cured. And these are natural so you don't have some of the nasty side effects of the drugs. Hope it helps.

  • @nikki4612 -- just wanted to thank you for this advice. i found some alpha gpc yesterday and took it with melatonin last night. unfortunately sleep was brief and fitful, but i will try a higher dose of melatonin, time released, and just keep going. i'll give it a couple of weeks. i really APPRECIATE your suggestion. :)

  • Have you tried using a SODMI floatation tank. You rest in a salt water solution completly detached from outside influences. people have out of body experiences. find a spa place that has them and use it! peace

    Your body is trying to rebalance,

    thus the reaction of your body to the drugs to artificially depress you.

    Get with the program!

  • @cmk7 is it wrong that i want to drink wine even though i might potentially pay by going on three days without sleep? it's worth it

  • I seriously do not believe that it is wine that is keeping you awake. Other things, perhaps.

  • @cmk7 i think you're right, probably --- plus i drink that glass at like 5pm - 7pm. so, that doesn't necessarily add up, cycle wise.

  • if i give the drugs i will become the killer of many living things that do not deserve it

  • I suggest getting a punching bag to take your aggressions out on. I think the gym might have some.

  • I have no good answers, since I too get the insomnias - however, what if you had less red wine earlier in the evening, and did just a little stretching yoga? I dunno... less coffee?? Decaf?

  • i gave up coffee, can you believe it? so i got that goin for me which is niiiiice. but yeah. i'll lay off the red wine and maybe do that relaxation yoga.

  • Maybe it's the raw food diet.....you're missing something in your diet that your not getting from eating only raw food.

  • i am eating cooked vegetables and whole grains and sometimes a whole turkey. k, not the turkey part, but i'm not opposed necessarily
